ViewSonic Elite XG341C-2K: 34 inch gaming monitor with 200 Hz and 1400 nits

The new ViewSonic Elite XG341C-2K gaming monitor relies on a 34-inch UWQHD panel, 200 hertz and a mini-LED backlight for a brightness of up to 1,400 nits. They offered something similar back in May with the ViewSonic XG321UG, which even implements 4K resolution.

The ViewSonic Elite XG341C-2K in detail

With the ViewSonic Elite XG341C-2K, the manufacturer has introduced an exciting gaming monitor. It relies on a 34-inch ultra-wide UWQHD VA panel that resolves in 3,440 x 1,440 pixels and offers a refresh rate of 200 Hz.

It offers a curvature of 1500R, supports FreeSync Premium Pro and boasts a response time of 1 ms (MPRT). As is typical for VA panels, a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 is achieved, but the mini-LED backlight makes it interesting.

It has 1,152 individually dimmable zones, which allows the manufacturer to achieve an impressive peak brightness of 1,400 nits including DisplayHDR 1400 certification by VESA. This promises lifelike images, rich colors and particularly deep contrasts.

Color space coverage is also impressive, covering 99 percent of the sRGB and 97 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, so the monitor should also be suitable for image and video editing.

Gaming technologies and many ports

For gamers, the ViewSonic Elite XG341C-2K has several aces up its sleeve. PureXP Blur Reduction is supposed to ensure a sharp picture even in fast and action-packed scenes. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, on the other hand, synchronizes the image and prevents ghosting and streaking.

In addition, the monitor has two HDMI 2.1 ports and therefore enables high frame rates in UWQHD even on consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The connection to the PC is also optionally via USB Type-C, while the port also allows data transfers and charges connected devices such as a notebook with up to 90 watts.

In addition, there are three USB 3.2 Type A down, one USB 3.2 Type B up, one DisplayPort and one 3.5 mm jack. Two 5 watt speakers are also integrated. Of course, RGB lighting is also included, as well as a mouse anchor, a smartphone tray in the stand and a headset holder.

The monitor can also be adjusted by 120 mm in height, rotated by 50 degrees and tilted between -5 degrees and 23 degrees to the front or back.

Price and Availability

The ViewSonic Elite XG341C-2K gaming monitor is said to be available in stores now at an MSRP of $2,309, but it is not currently listed. You can find more details on the official product website of the manufacturer.
