Projectors are currently experiencing a real hype. So it is hardly surprising that a few exciting innovations in this segment were presented just in time for IFA 2022. ViewSonic is also one of them. Only recently, the manufacturer announced its latest LED projector, which was especially designed for short distances. With the ViewSonic X11-4K, the company not only wants to impress many buyers visually. On top of that, the practical projector is supposed to come with an integrated sound system from a renowned audio expert.
Award-winning design and modern technology
Connoisseurs of ViewSonic will possibly find the projector’s look familiar. This is by no means surprising. After all, the company relies on the design of the predecessor for the ViewSonic X11-4K. It even won the iF Design Award in 2019. The case is obviously made of high-quality metal. The aluminum look of the projector also gets some eye-catchers with chic bronze elements. However, the technology under the hood is certainly more important than the looks. In order to keep up with TVs presented at IFA, such as the bendable OLED TV LG Flex LX3, ViewSonic has to pull quite a few things out of its sleeve.
A variable screen diagonal between 30 and 200 inches is already an announcement in this regard. Even the huge LG G2 OLED evo Gallery Edition with a 97-inch diagonal can’t keep up. In order to achieve a large screen diagonal, you have to position the ViewSonic X11-4K far away from the desired screen. According to the manufacturer, the distance is between 0.5 and 3.5 meters. The brightness values of the projector are quite respectable with a maximum of 2,400 lumens. The lifespan that ViewSonic specifies for the LED lamp is astonishing. Despite the high brightness, a maximum of 30,000 hours should be possible.
Integrated sound system from Harman Kardon
The features of the ViewSonic X11-4K are really remarkable. Thus, the projector also comes with integrated speakers. Although these only offer 8 watts of power, they are supposed to be able to kick off quite nicely. Harman Kardon, a true expert in the HiFi field, is also responsible for the speaker design. The projector is also supposed to offer modern features like an auto focus and an automated keystone correction. On top of that, the ViewSonic X11-4K obviously appeals to Nintendo fans as well. After all, the Switch can even be connected via USB-C port and played back via the projector. The two classic HDMI 2.0 ports also allow connecting other source devices. WiFi and Bluetooth, in turn, also enable modern Smart TV features and wireless connections.
Price and Availability
Now, of course, the question arises as to how much this attractive projector should cost. In the US, the ViewSonic X11-4K is launching at an MSRP of $1,499. Unfortunately, we do not yet know when the promising projector will go on sale here or what it will cost. However, we assume that the manufacturer will answer these questions quickly.
