With the 32-inch ViewSonic XG321UG gaming monitor, the manufacturer has officially introduced its new flagship model. The display relies on a 4K resolution including mini-LED backlight and comes with G-Sync Ultimate and VESA HDR 1400.
ViewSonic XG321UG in detail
The new ViewSonic XG321UG gaming monitor marks the top model in the manufacturer’s ELITE gaming monitor series. It features a 32-inch IPS panel with a 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and a mini-LED backlight.
In a total of 1,152 zones, the gaming monitor thus achieves a peak brightness of up to 1,400 cd/m² and thus receives a VESA HDR 1400 certification, currently the highest HDR standard of VESA. Another exciting feature of the XG321UG is Local Dimming. This provides better contrasts as well as a deep black and a transition-free and more homogeneous picture illumination compared to classic LEDs.
The refresh rate of the XG321UG is 144 Hz, while the gray-to-grey response time is put at 3 milliseconds. At 120 Hz, the display delivers 1.07 billion colors (10 bit true) and at 144 Hz, 16.7 million colors (8 bit true). The panel covers around 99 percent Adobe RGB color space with Delta E<2.
G-Sync Ultimate and Reflex Analyzer on board
Current games are said to come out particularly well on the ViewSonic XG321UG thanks to G-Sync Ultimate and Reflex Analyzer from Nvidia. Nvidia Reflex reduces system latency by combining GPUs with gaming optimizations. Nvidia Reflex Low Latency mode improves accuracy and responsiveness by connecting peripherals like mouse and keyboard directly to the monitor.
The XG321UG relies on DisplayPort 1.4 and offers a USB hub in version 3.2 (2 x 5V/900mA and 1 x 5V/2.1A). Furthermore, three HDMI 2.0 ports are available. ViewSonic also installs two 5-watt speakers and a classic 3.5 mm jack output directly in the monitor.
In terms of ergonomics, the monitor can be tilted (swivel) and rotated (pivot) and can be adjusted in height between 0 mm and 120 mm. There is also customizable RGB lighting.
Price and Availability
The new ViewSonic XG321UG 4K gaming monitor comes at a price, though. According to the manufacturer, the recommended retail price is 3,249.00 euros, while Amazon also already lists it for 3,765.00 euros. The monitor should be officially available shortly.
