Vivo Y72 5G with 7nm 5G chip and triple camera

With the new Y72 5G, Vivo offers a mid-range smartphone with a high-resolution 64 MP camera, 5G and a 5,000 mAh battery at a good price.

Mid-range smartphone with flagship chip

Chinese tech company Vivo has unveiled the new Vivo Y72 5G. With a 7nm 5G chip and a CPU that can reach speeds of up to 2.2GHz, it does well in terms of performance, placing it in the mid-range. The smartphone comes with a Zeiss camera. With the new triple camera and the new mobile standard, it should then convince future users.

The 6.58-inch Full HD IPS display resolves content in 2,408 x 1,080 pixels. Thus, the Y72 achieves an aspect ratio of 20:9 and the NTSC color space is covered by 96 percent. The screen-to-body ratio of the Vivo Y72 5G is 90.6%. To protect the user’s eyes, the smartphone has an eye-saver mode that filters out harmful blue light. Thus, the eyes are not additionally strained and are spared. For an optimal 5G experience and a fast connection, the Vivo Y72 5G features a CPU, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Slim and discreet design

The Vivo Y72 5G scores with a particularly slim design, and the frame is just 2.75 mm thin. The Y72’s 3D corners are also well thought-out in terms of haptics. The case is overall very slim and light so that it fits better in the hand. In terms of weight, the new Vivo comes in at 193 grams.

The rear cameras are enclosed in a metal frame, which impresses with a discreet matte look with a high-gloss shimmer. In addition, the Y72 5G has an innovative silver finish and is satin-finished. The colors of the smartphone are subtle and soft. The color selection includes Dream Glow, which achieves particularly soft hues due to the silver coating technology, so you get a kaleidoscope of colors. Another color option is Graphite Black, which makes the classic black look even more intense due to the silver ion coating.

Triple camera and other features

For numerous settings and razor-sharp pictures, the Vivo Y72 5G has a triple camera on board. The main camera offers a total of 64 MP, consists of three lenses, which have four main shooting functions (ultra HD, super wide-angle, bokeh and macro). The shooting system supports the user in every situation and makes pictures look lifelike. The rear 64-megapixel main camera also has a number of image processing functions. No matter if day or night, the most beautiful pictures can always be captured. New perspectives are also opened up with the 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle (120°*)/depth-of-field lens, which also allows panorama shots without any problems. In addition, there is the night mode and macro shooting for particularly sharp and close pictures.

To ensure a good sound as well, the smartphone comes with the 1612 Super Linear speakers. These ensure an optimal sound quality of the Vivo Y72 5G with pleasant trebles, a rich bass and soft midranges. With the Speaker Boost 3.0 sound effects, a lifelike sound becomes a real pleasure.

In addition, the Vivo has a slim fingerprint scanner on the side power button so that unlocking is quick and easy. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, which is charged in a flash with the 18 W FastCharge function.

The new Vivo Y72 5G will be available from July 2021 at a price of 299 Euros in the colors Dream Glow and Graphite Black.
