What are BLUETTI LiFePO4 power cells?

Compared to NCM and lithium-ion batteries, as we find them today in many rechargeable batteries and energy cells – for example of smartphones or other electrical devices – LiFePO4 energy cells offer several decisive advantages at once.

So in the long run, BLUETTI is clearly ahead here, largely due to the tremendous longevity of LiFePO4 batteries.

Why LiFePO4 batteries are perfect for solar generators

LiFePO4 energy cells are particularly lightweight compared to other battery technologies, which in turn makes a solar generator much more mobile. The new BLUETTI AC200 Max, for example, weighs in at just 28.1 kg, which is quite a feat for such a powerful and durable generator. After all, in combination with two B230 battery modules, it has an output of 6,144 watt hours.

With over 3,500 charge and discharge cycles, the batteries in the AC200 Max also last a long time, enabling thousands of charging processes over several years. This is a factor that should not be underestimated when buying a high-quality product. After all, you want to get something out of it for a long time, don’t you?

At the same time, LiFePO4 batteries also work extremely efficiently and let you use up to 90 percent of their full capacity freely. Another advantage: Corresponding energy cells require almost no maintenance over their entire service life.

In addition, they are significantly safer than NCM batteries, which is due, for example, to the air-safe aluminum jacket. This means that solar generators from BLUETTI can even be used at extreme temperatures between -20 and +40 degrees Celsius. So you are well prepared for the next Arctic or Sahara expedition.
