XGIMI AURA and Halo+: New portable projector and laser projector introduced

XGIMI has presented its product highlights for the new year at CES 2022. The focus is on the enhanced version of the compact XGIMI Halo beamer and the futuristic XGIMI AURA laser projector.

XGIMI AURA: This laser projector has it all

The XGIMI AURA laser projector relies on innovative ultra-short-throw technology to project a crystal-clear 100-inch 4K image onto the wall from just 20 inches away. This resolution, combined with the four 15W Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Audio support and a brightness of 2400 ANSI lumens ensure that the AURA seriously competes with any classic TV.

However, the XGIMI AURA takes up far less space than a TV with a comparable screen diagonal. Thanks to its classy but minimalistic design, the laser projector fits into any living room without becoming an unwanted eye-catcher. True 4K UHD with 8.3 million individual pixels on the screen, ALPD technology and HDR10 are offered.

The projector also comes with Android TV 10.0, Google Assistant and Chromecast built-in, providing access to over 5,000 apps such as Disney +, HBO Max and YouTube via wireless casting, simple voice control or the easy-to-use Android TV interface.

XGIMI AURA Features

The AURA’s laser light source has a lifetime of 25,000 hours, significantly reducing costs and pollution. This is to achieve consistent performance over a 10-year period.

XGIMI Halo+: Compact cinema-quality projector

The XGIMI Halo family offers a home theater experience that can be easily packed into a backpack and ready to use in seconds. To further enhance this ambitious experience, XGIMI now introduces its new XGIMI Halo+. This further builds on the strengths of its predecessor without sacrificing the handy form factor.

The Halo+ achieves a maximum brightness of 900 ANSI lumens, making it the brightest portable projector on the market today. It resolves in full HD and offers HDR10 support. To make the XGIMI Halo+ truly portable it has an integrated 59 Wh battery that allows up to two hours of playback time.

Prices and Availability

The XGIMI AURA and XGIMI Halo+ are currently already available directly from the manufacturer, and are expected to be offered at independent retailers at a later date. In terms of price, the AURA has an MSRP of 2,499.00 euros, while the Halo+ is 849.00 euros.
