The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max is a new e-scooter in the starting blocks that is clearly positioned above the previous series. Large tires, double suspension and high motor power are intended to provide more comfort and range. Although the model was initially listed on the global website, official entries already clearly point to a market launch in Germany in the near future.

With the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max, the manufacturer is pursuing a clear focus on comfort and suitability for everyday use. At the heart of the new model are the 12-inch tires, which are designed to offer significantly better traction and a smoother ride compared to smaller wheels. This is complemented by genuine double suspension: a suspension fork with 45 millimetres of travel at the front and integrated suspension at the rear wheel. Unevenness on cobblestones or poor cycle paths can thus be compensated for noticeably better, without positioning the scooter as a pure off-road model.
The e-scooter is powered by a motor with a continuous output of 450 watts, which is within the limits of German licensing regulations. However, up to 1,100 watts of peak power is available for short periods, for example when starting off or on inclines. According to the manufacturer, gradients of up to 24 percent are possible. The currently listed version reaches a top speed of 25 km/h, which still needs to be adapted for the German market. However, as the scooter is already registered with the Federal Motor Transport Authority, a legal version for Germany is very likely.
With a weight of 29.7 kilograms, the Electric Scooter 6 Max is not one of the lightweights. However, it has a folding function that makes it easier to transport in the car. When folded, the scooter measures 1,298 × 606.6 × 662 millimetres and is therefore still practical for urban use. The maximum payload is 130 kilograms.
Range, technology and smart functions for everyday use
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max also boasts state-of-the-art technology. The integrated battery has a capacity of 468 Wh and should enable a range of up to 70 kilometers under optimal conditions. When riding continuously at maximum speed, Xiaomi still claims a range of up to 45 kilometers, which clearly qualifies the scooter for longer commuting distances. The system also supports recuperation to recover energy when braking.
An integrated traction control system is designed to ensure greater safety, especially on wet roads, and reduce rear wheel spin. All important information is shown on a 3-inch TFT color display, which can also be used to make basic settings directly. In addition, the scooter supports Apple “Where is?”, making it easier to locate the vehicle in the event of theft.
This combination of range, comfort and smart functions underlines the fact that Xiaomi is positioning the Electric Scooter 6 Max as a premium model for everyday urban use. The technical features appear plausible overall and seamlessly follow on from the manufacturer’s previous e-scooter series.
