Xiaomi wearables focus on health, connectivity and intelligent tracking
With the new Xiaomi Watch S5 46mm, Xiaomi is launching a smartwatch that combines health functions and premium design. The 46 mm case is made of stainless steel and remains pleasantly light despite its robust construction. The 1.4-inch AMOLED display achieves a peak brightness of up to 2,500 nits, making it easy to read even in direct sunlight.
The main focus is on new tracking functions. According to the manufacturer, a revised heart rate sensor with four LEDs and four PD sensors should enable a measurement accuracy of up to 98.4 percent. There are also sleep analyses with HRV evaluation, weekly and monthly reports and an optimized dual-band GNSS receiver for precise outdoor tracking.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, which is also new, is aimed at users who prefer a compact fitness wearable. The device offers a 1.74-inch AMOLED display with up to 2,000 nits of brightness and integrates over 150 sports modes. In addition to classic activity tracking, Xiaomi is expanding health management through a cooperation with Clue for cycle and wellness analysis.
Both devices run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and are deeply integrated into the Xiaomi ecosystem. Functions such as remote camera control, smartphone search and smart home control are available directly from the wrist.
Xiaomi wearables bring audio upgrades and portable sound on the go
Xiaomi is also significantly expanding its portfolio in the audio sector. The new Xiaomi Buds 6 rely on a high-quality setup with 11 mm drivers, gold-plated diaphragm and tuning by the Harman Golden Ear Team. High-resolution audio formats are supported via Qualcomm aptX Lossless, making wireless music listening virtually lossless.
The combination of adaptive sound, 360-degree audio with head tracking and a triple microphone system with AI noise reduction is particularly exciting. This technology reduces background noise by up to 95 dB and significantly improves voice quality during calls.
With the Xiaomi Sound Play, Xiaomi is adding a compact Bluetooth speaker to its new product range. The device delivers 18 watts of output power, offers dynamic light modes and supports party mode with Auracast for pairing up to 100 compatible speakers.
The IP68 certification also makes the speaker suitable for outdoor use. Thanks to the 2,600 mAh battery, up to 14 hours of playback are possible. This makes it a versatile solution for leisure, travel and spontaneous outdoor events.
