Xiaomi Mi Laptop: New version of the notebook including 120 Hz display available now

If you are looking for a lightweight notebook, you might find it in the new version of the Xiaomi Mi Pro 14. The new edition has a lot of features and convinces with an Intel Core i-7 processor of the 11th generation as well as a fast 120 Hz display with high color fidelity.

What’s in the Xiaomi Mi Pro 14

Xiaomi is relaunching the Xiaomi Mi Pro 14 laptop with stronger specifications. So far, the Chinese manufacturer offered its laptop with the Core i7-11370H and Core i5-11300H as options – the new edition, on the other hand, uses the more powerful Intel Core i7-11390H, which, among other things, comes up with a slightly higher boost clock of up to five GHz (compared to 4.8 GHz in the 11370H).

As for the graphics solution, the Xiaomi notebook relies on an Nvidia GeForce MX450 with a TDP of 35 watts, which is clearly not aimed at gamers. At least there are 16 GB of DDR4 working memory with a clock rate of 3200 MHz, as well as a removable SSD hard drive with 512 gigabytes of storage space.

In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi Pro 14 weighing around 1.5 kilograms is also very well positioned: WiFi 6 and Thunderbolt 4 are just as much a part of the features as a fingerprint scanner and two stereo speakers. The 56 Wh battery can be fully charged by half in about 30 minutes thanks to a charging power of 100 watts and is supposed to come to a total runtime of about 12 hours in office mode.

Strong display

However, Xioami’s focus is primarily on a convincing display for the new Mi Pro 14. A 14-inch LC display is used, which resolves with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and reaches a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m².

Particularly impressive, however, is the fact that the sRGB color space is supposed to be completely covered and that with a Delta E color deviation of only 1.5. In order to save energy, the refresh rate can also be adjusted down to 60 Hz or 90 Hz, respectively.

Price and availability

The new edition of the Xiaomi Mi Pro 14 is now available for pre-order in Asia. The online store Banggood calls a price of the equivalent of around 1,310.51 euros. The delivery will start on October 2, and according to the store, it will arrive in Germany between October 17 and 27.
