Vacuum cleaners, smartphones, lamps, and and and. Xiaomi’s product range is also growing steadily in this country. The electronics company offers even more devices in its home country China. Now the company also wants to play in the sound bar segment in our country. The Xiaomi Sound Bar 3.1ch seems to be an exciting piece of hi-fi technology at a fair price.
Also suitable for little space
Living space is becoming increasingly expensive and apartments correspondingly smaller. So it’s hardly surprising that the trend is increasingly moving towards the soundbar instead of a sound system equipped with large speakers. With a height of just 6 cm, a width of 86 cm and a depth of 11.5 cm, the Xiaomi Sound Bar 3.1ch is obviously well-suited for limited spaces. The matte black exterior also ensures that the sound bar is pleasingly inconspicuous.
Compact 3.1 system
The name of Xiaomi’s upcoming soundbar is of course no coincidence. There are a total of three channels at work in the flat soundbar itself. These come in the form of tweeters and midrange speakers. The separate subwoofer, which can be placed anywhere in the room thanks to the wireless connection, is supposed to provide a lot of power. All it needs is an active power source. The specs also read very good otherwise. The soundbar is supposed to support Dolby Audio as well as DTS Virtual:X.
An output of up to 430 watts also sounds very promising. It’s no problem to provide the one or other home party with the right sound or to enjoy an action movie with powerful explosions. However, Xiaomi also installs a so-called dynamic compression so that you do not mess with the neighbors. This mode, called “Night Mode”, cuts down the bass a bit and focuses more on the dialogs instead.
Many different sound modes
But even far from Night Mode, the soundbar offers customized soundscapes. Here you should find the right sound for every scenery. You can choose from the following modes: Cinema, Game, Music, News, AI Sound and Standard.) The “AI Sound” mode sounds exciting. Xiaomi promises that the soundbar itself recognizes what content is currently being played. Accordingly, the soundbar decides which sound profile is the most suitable. Not only the sound profiles are diverse. On top of that, you can control the soundbar in different ways.
Accordingly, it is not only suitable as a mere sound amplifier for the TV at home. It should also cut a good figure as a hi-fi system in view of the good specs. Apart from classic cable connections via AUX or HDMI input, the Xiaomi Sound Bar 3.1ch can also be controlled wirelessly via smartphone, tablet or PC. You simply have to establish a Bluetooth connection for this. Thanks to the integrated NFC chip, pairing with a suitable smartphone is also supposed to be very uncomplicated and quick.
Price and availability
It should not be long before the new Xiaomi Sound Bar 3.1ch is launched. From January 24, 2022, it should be possible to order the new hifi device. On top of that, those who are quick and strike by January 30, 2022 are supposed to get a discounted price of an attractive 219 euros (Amazon & Xiaomi). The usual MSRP is again supposed to be 279 Euros. Should Xiaomi keep its promises, that also sounds like a fair price.
