Xiaomi Watch S1 and Watch S1 Active: Already available for pre-order on Amazon before unveiling

The two smartwatches Xiaomi Watch S1 and Watch S1 Active are coming to Germany. Even before the official confirmation for the German market, both wearables can already be presented at the online store Amazon.

Xiaomi Watch S1 and Watch S1 Active are coming to Germany

Already at the end of December 2021, Xiaomi announced the smartwatch S1 officially, but at that time only for the Chinese market. Whether the Xiaomi Watch S1 and Watch S1 Active would even make it to Germany was unclear. Until now, because Amazon is now already offering both smartwatches for pre-order. The official presentation is to take place only on March 15.

The S1 is a classy and comparatively affordable wearable that comes in two color options and with three different wristbands. The case measures 46.5 x 46.5 x 11 mm and turns out particularly robust with stainless steel and sapphire glass.

A 1.43-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz is installed. The battery has a capacity of 470 mAh and is supposed to last up to 12 days with average use. Both watches are also charged wirelessly.

On the Active model, there’s a plastic strap instead of a leather one, and apparently slightly larger and flatter buttons on the sides, which should provide additional protection against damage. Both watches support displaying notifications from the smartphone, a telephony function, and have numerous apps, 117 sport modes, and GPS for activity tracking in the fitness function. NFC is also on board.

Prices and Availability

The Xiaomi Watch S1 and Watch S1 Active are scheduled for release on March 15, according to Amazon, so they should start shipping today. Pre-orderers will apparently get the Mi Smart Body Composition Scale 2 included with both models. In terms of price, the Watch S1 is priced at 249.00 euros, while the Active model is offered for 198.99 euros.
