XMG PRO 16 (E25): Powerhouse in a slim design for gaming and content creation

With the XMG PRO 16 (E25), XMG is launching a completely redesigned version of its powerful multimedia and gaming workstation. The new model is aimed at users who expect high performance and flexibility, but do not want to compromise on mobility. In addition to the latest high-end hardware such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and either an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX or an i9-13900HX, the device boasts numerous features that make it an exciting alternative to the in-house flagship XMG NEO 16 – but at a more attractive entry-level price.

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with up to 140 W TGP ensures top-level gaming and rendering performance
  • Choice of Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX or i9-13900HX with 24 cores each
  • 16-inch IPS display with 300 Hz, 500 nits and 100% sRGB color space coverage
  • Two M.2 SSD slots, up to 128 GB DDR5 RAM, versatile connectivity incl. Thunderbolt 4 (depending on model)

Performance and efficiency: Two powerful CPU options, one uncompromising GPU

At the heart of the XMG PRO 16 (E25) are two of today’s most powerful mobile Intel processors: the Core Ultra 9 275HX or the proven i9-13900HX – both with 24 cores. Regardless of the choice, a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is used in each case, which is ideally equipped for demanding games and creative workflows with 12 GB GDDR7 VRAM and up to 140 watts TGP. Thanks to Dynamic Boost, the available power is intelligently divided between the CPU and GPU.

While the model with Ultra 9 CPU offers additional features such as Thunderbolt 4, PCIe 5.0 for the primary SSD and CSO DIMM support, the i9 variant scores with a noticeably better price-performance ratio – without any significant loss of performance in everyday use.

Compact form factor, sophisticated cooling system

With a weight of 2.42 kg and an aluminum housing, the PRO 16 is lighter and slimmer than the NEO 16 without compromising on features. The large 99.8 Wh battery and a compact 240 watt power supply unit ensure good mobility, even away from the desk.

The cooling system is based on two 80 mm fans, rear air outlets and high-quality thermal pads. The air supply via the keyboard also contributes to efficiency. In continuous operation, the notebook achieves power limits of 135 watts for the CPU and 140 watts for the GPU – a value that cannot be taken for granted in this device class. Power limits, fan curves and RAM timings can also be fine-tuned via the BIOS and the XMG Control Center.

Display and input devices: High precision for gaming and creative work
The built-in 16-inch IPS panel in 16:10 format with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels (1600p), 300 Hz and 500 nits not only offers a high resolution and smooth display, but also color accuracy thanks to 100% sRGB coverage – perfect for video editing or graphic design.

The keyboard comes directly from the NEO 16 and offers RGB single-key illumination, scissor switches, anti-ghosting and N-key rollover. Even frequent typists and gamers will not be left wanting. The setup is complemented by a high-quality Mylar touchpad and a Full HD webcam with physical privacy shutter.

Storage options and connectivity: flexible and expandable

Up to two M.2 SSDs and up to 128 GB DDR5 RAM (depending on the CPU configuration) make the XMG PRO 16 extremely expandable. The Ultra 9 version offers PCIe 5.0 x4 for the primary SSD and ultra-fast CSO DIMM RAM (up to 6400 MT/s), while the i9 version relies on PCIe 4.0 and DDR5 SO-DIMM with up to 5600 MT/s.

In terms of connectivity, the PRO 16 impresses with four display outputs (HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort 2.1, two USB-C with DisplayPort), three USB-A ports, 2.5 Gbit LAN, SD card reader (SD Express), Wi-Fi 6E and a combined audio connection. While Thunderbolt 4 is reserved exclusively for the Ultra 9 model, the USB-C of the i9 model also offers full functionality including Power Delivery.

Conclusion: lots of performance, lots of options – at a fair price

The XMG PRO 16 (E25) is a sophisticated workstation for anyone who wants to use gaming and creative applications on the go or at their desk at the highest level. Particularly exciting: the clear distinction between two model variants makes the device attractive for different budgets without having to sacrifice key features. The basic version starts at 1,999 euros and can be individually configured at bestware.com. Those who order by April 24 will also benefit from a 5% early bird discount. Delivery will begin in mid-May.
