The ultra-light gaming mouse Xtrfy M4 gets a limited special edition. The M4 Tokyo is inspired by Japanese gaming culture and features new color accents in a glossy look compared to the standard version. The manufacturer also installs a new type of flexible cable.
Limited to 5,000 pieces
With the Xtrfy M4 Tokyo, the manufacturer presents a limited edition of the ultra-light gaming mouse M4, whichwas almost completely convincing in our test about two and a half years ago. Only 5,000 models of the special edition will be produced for worldwide retailers, and there is said to be no subsequent production when the M4 Tokyo is sold out.
The Tokyo Edition presents itself as a tribute to Japan’s largest city and to Japanese gaming culture. The color scheme is supposed to be based on the Japanese flag (Hinomaru), accordingly the mouse presents itself predominantly in white color with red contrasting buttons. Compared to the matte finish of the original M4, the Tokyo Edition relies on a glossy casing.
However, technical innovations compared to the standard model are limited. At least Xtrfy relies on a new, fabric-covered and flexible cable with the sonorous name “Xtrfy EZcord Pro”. It is supposed to turn out lighter, softer and more flexible in direct comparison and offer better durability.
The M4 Tokyo’s features
The Xtrfy M4 Tokyo relies on the same Pixart 3389 sensor that already impressed with high precision in the original version. It allows for quick sensitivity adjustment between 400 and 16 000 CPI at a polling rate of 125-1000 Hz.
The manufacturer is still sticking to the ergonomic design for right-handed users, and the gaming mouse’s dimensions (120 x 68 x 39 mm) and weight of 69 grams also remain the same. There are also no changes to the basic, eye-catching design complete with circular holes and RGB lighting on the mouse wheel and side buttons.
Price and Availability
The Xtrfy M4 Tokyo Limited Edition is available now at an MSRP of €69.00 from the manufacturer’s website, as well as local retailers.
