Yeedi Mop Station: Robot vacuum cleaner with mop function soon available

Do you still use the vacuum cleaner independently within your own four walls? Then you belong to the ever-shrinking group of people who do not yet own a vacuum cleaner robot. Once you’ve had one of these practical helpers in your home, you won’t let it go in a hurry. With the Yeedi Mop Station now comes a smart cleaning helper that can not only vacuum, but also mop and on top of that offers a really exciting self-cleaning function.

Smart vacuum wiper with self-cleaning

We have already been able to confirm in detail in our test that the Yeedi Mop Station provides reliable cleaning of a wide variety of floors. You can already see at first glance that the heart of the system is a smart vacuum robot. This design is already known from other representatives of the favor. But when you turn it over, you realize that the little household helper not only offers a suction function, but also a wiping function. After dust and coarse dirt has been vacuumed with a suction power of a proud 2,500 pa, the robot still wipes over it.

For mopping, the Yeedi relies on two different mops that can be conveniently unplugged and replaced. Since the two mops rotate in a circle, the wiping performance is surprisingly good. Other manufacturers only rely on immobile surfaces that leave stubborn dirt on the left. Even stuck and already dried dirt, which the suction function itself can’t pick up, is almost always removed by the moving wiping surfaces. The really big trick of the cleaning station comes into play when no more dirt can be picked up. Then the small suction robot with wiping function for self-cleaning namely drives into the eponymous Mop Station.

With the Mop Station, you get a kind of wellness oasis for the vacuum robot. The basis of the ingenious cleaning system are two different water tanks, each with a capacity of 3.5 liters. While one tank is used to store fresh water, the other tank collects the dirty water. The latter holds the water that is produced during the regular cleaning of the mops. The Yeedi Mop Station works completely independently and also ensures that the rotating mop surfaces dry after cleaning. If the small vacuum robot needs to be cleaned during a “cleaning tour” in its Mop Station, it returns to the previous place of use after the extensive self-cleaning to continue its cleaning.

Like other vacuum robots, the Yeedi relies on various sensors. These help the smart household helper to get to know and measure the apartment during the first cleaning. Finally, you can access the floor plan in the associated app for iOS and Android to plan targeted cleanings. This allows a cleaning operation in individual rooms or else of areas previously marked out in the app. To avoid unnecessary wiping on carpeted surfaces, sensors are again used. These detect the respective surface and accordingly set to exclusively vacuuming or a combination of vacuuming and wiping.

Price and availability

With the Yeedi Mop Station, all cleaning mopes should get the perfect smart household helper. Should you be interested in the automated suction mop, you can access from August 5. Then the Mop Station is to be launched at an MSRP of 594,95 €. There’s also an exciting promotion to kick things off, on August 8 from 9:00 to 10:59 CEST:
