What exactly is the Zendure PowerHub?
In short: the PowerHub is the control center, not another end device. Single-phase or three-phase – what do I need?
The choice depends on your own house connection. The single-phase version is sufficient for a single-family home with normal equipment. It protects one phase in the event of a blackout and continues to supply the most important consumers.
The three-phase version is intended for larger setups: it distributes loads evenly across all three phases, supports three-phase electric car charging with up to 22 kW and is particularly relevant for heat pump operation. Anyone operating an electric car or a modern heat pump will find the 3P version hard to ignore. Zendure is also planning its own bidirectional wallbox in variants with 7.4, 11 and 22 kW – the announcement has been made but the market launch is still pending.

Beginners can start with a single SolarFlow Mix and 8 kWh of storage. The system can be expanded to up to 50 kWh per unit – and if you connect three units to the PowerHub, you can achieve a total capacity of up to 150 kWh. That is an impressive reserve for private households.
In the maximum expansion stage with three SolarFlow 4000 Mix Pro units, the system delivers 12 kW continuous output with 24 kW native solar connection. With three SolarFlow 4000 Mix AC+, the PV input even climbs to 43 kW – because these models also have an AC input for existing inverters.
This is also the point at which the PowerHub becomes interesting for anyone who already operates a rooftop PV system: instead of setting up everything from scratch, existing hardware can be integrated. If you already have a Zendure SolarFlow 2400 Pro or a similar AC-coupled system in use, you can integrate it into the larger ecosystem.
Emergency power: 10 milliseconds to switchover
In the event of a blackout, the PowerHub switches to battery operation within 10 milliseconds via an automatic transfer system (ATS). This is fast enough for most devices – including desktop PCs and devices without their own UPS – not to notice that the mains has failed.
During the day, the so-called Black Start mode kicks in: if the grid fails while the sun is shining, the PowerHub automatically reestablishes the connection between the solar and storage systems off-grid. The house is supplied directly from the solar system and any surplus electricity flows into the batteries.
Compatibility and open platform
A common problem with home storage systems is the closed ecosystem problem: once you have chosen manufacturer A, you are trapped. Zendure takes a different approach here – the PowerHub not only works with its own devices, but also with PV inverters and consumers from third-party manufacturers.
The protocol support for SG-Ready, EEBus and OCPP is not a marketing promise, but concrete interoperability with what is already installed in German households. This means that anyone who already has a heat pump-compatible smart home controller or an OCPP-capable wallbox can integrate these directly.
