The Zotac GeForce RTX 5080 Solid Core OC 20th Anniversary Edition is a limited-edition special version of the well-known RTX 5080 Solid Core OC, with which Zotac is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Technically, there are no changes from the standard model, but the card features a titanium finish, a mirrored backplate, and an illuminated GPU stand. Only 2,000 units are available worldwide; in Germany, the card has been available exclusively at Alternate since August 20, 2026, for 1,699 euros.

In short: same GPU, same memory, and same clock speeds as the regular model, but a completely new design with collector’s appeal. For this, Zotac is charging a significant premium over the standard version.

What’s actually new about the Anniversary Edition?

Anyone expecting a revamped GPU or more memory will be disappointed: At its core, the 20th Anniversary Edition is the standard RTX 5080 Solid Core OC, just in a different package. Instead of the usual black or white, the card features a matte titanium finish. Zotac also includes two magnetic backplates—one of which is mirrored—as well as an ARGB-illuminated GPU bracket that supports the card inside the case while also serving as an eye-catching feature.

The card was first unveiled at Computex 2026, though at that time no price or firm release date had been announced. Zotac isn’t alone in taking this purely design-focused approach: MSI also celebrated its 40th anniversary with a visually coordinated special edition series, without making any changes to the actual hardware.

Price and Availability: Is the Premium Worth It?

1,699 euros isn’t exactly a bargain. According to price comparison sites, the cheapest standard RTX 5080 starts at around 1,330 euros, while the white Solid Core version costs about 1,480 euros. So if you opt for the anniversary edition, you’ll pay 200 to 370 euros more for the titanium finish, a second backplate, and a GPU stand—not for additional performance.

The timing is also unfortunate: Nvidia has already raised prices for GeForce RTX graphics cards for the third time this year, and Zotac’s parent company, PC Partner, also expects prices for graphics memory to continue rising in the second half of the year. Anyone who has to save up for an RTX 5080 anyway won’t get a better deal with the Anniversary Edition—just a more expensive collector’s item.

Conclusion

The RTX 5080 Solid Core OC 20th Anniversary Edition is a nice anniversary product for collectors and anyone who wants to spruce up their case with a side panel window. If you’re just looking for performance, you can find the same GPU in the standard version for significantly less money. Whether the 2,000 units will be enough for the German market or whether the card will sell out quickly remains to be seen in the coming days.
