With the Black Widow V3 Mini, Razer presents a new wireless mini keyboard that contains almost only the most necessary keys and has an extremely space-saving design.
Keyboard in 65 percent layout
Unlike the Huntsman Mini model, Razer’s first mini keyboard, the new Black Widow V3 doesn’t include just the most necessary keys. But it also presents itself as extremely space-saving and minimalistic with its 65 percent layout. It is only more generous than the Huntsman Mini in terms of the arrow and function keys, which are found in a highly compressed form on the right edge. It is thus most likely aimed at people who are looking for a model that is compact, but at the same time offers sufficient comfort for office tasks, for example – and that is hardly to be had without arrow and function keys.
The new mini keyboard is connected to other devices via a dongle, which also supports HyperSpeed connections. Alternatively, a Bluetooth connection can be established. According to the manufacturer, the battery life is up to 200 hours in wireless use. Alternatively, a USB-C cable can be used to connect to a PC at any time.
The features of the keyboard, which offers a polling rate of up to 1,000 Hz, further include RGB backlighting and Razer’s linearly tuned yellow or audibly clicking green keys. In either case, the keycaps are made of ABS plastic and feature double-shot lettering.
