After the presentation of a RGB face mask, Razer recently introduced another non-gaming product with a reusable straw and thus significantly expanded its product portfolio once again. Razer is tapping into a move toward more sustainable products with the new product.
Stainless steel straw
The straw is made of 304 stainless steel. It has a telescopic design, making it variable in size and easy to store. It can be adjusted to lengths between 100 and 230 millimeters. This feature is useful because it allows the straw to be adapted to different glass sizes and used as flexibly as possible. In addition to the straw, customers receive a cleaning brush that is also adjustable in length. It can be used to clean the straw after each use, which keeps the reusable product in perfect hygienic condition.
Meanwhile, the tip of the drinking straw is made of silicone to make drinking comfortable. The silicone used here comes from recycled material, which underscores the new product’s environmental friendliness. While the rest of the drinking straw is black, the silicone tip is colored green – so the product features Razer’s brand colors. The storage box that comes with the product is also in the brand colors.
Development towards more sustainability
Reusable drinking straws have been on the rise for some time now and no longer represent a niche product. The reason for the shift toward reusable products is the environmental impact of classic plastic straws, which are among the most common plastic waste found in the world’s oceans and threaten marine wildlife. From summer 2021, the use of single-use plastic will be banned in the EU – by which time at the latest, reusable drinking straws will completely replace their single plastic counterparts.
Available from April
The drinking straw is to be available in this country from April in the manufacturer’s online shop. The price is 25 euros.
