1MORE has introduced new ANC headphones with the SonoFlow on September 15, 2022, which shine with numerous premium features on the data sheet. Two 40 mm drivers are supposed to be responsible for the terrific sound experience, the battery life is around 70 hours and on top of that, five ENC microphones are installed for ANC. Whether the manufacturer can live up to its promise of “REMARKABLE SOUND, INFINITE SILENCE” and offer an all-around perfect ANC headphones with a price of € 89.99 * we find out in the test.

The 1MORE SonoFlow come in the test with its own case, which is also ideal for travel. In addition to the usual user manual, the box also contains a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm audio cable and a USB-C cable for recharging the headphones.

The dark gray hard case features a thoroughly high-quality workmanship and also feels really good to the touch. This first impression is simultaneously underlined by the 1MORE lettering on the case’s center. When opening the case, we can see the headphones on the right side in a folded state.
The ear cups and head bar of the matte gray over-ear headphones are made of protein leather, which makes them very soft to the touch and makes them more comfortable to wear. For a comfortable wearing experience on the head, there are numerous settings that affect the extension and folding angle and can be variably fine-tuned. This functionality may especially appeal to users with large, wide heads. When worn independently, the 1MORE SonoFlow felt comfortable even over several hours in the test and did not make a negative impact at any time. You will also not find any creaking on the headphones due to the very good workmanship. The quality of the Bluetooth connection is excellent and does not show any interruptions – in the self-test, I was even able to experience flawless music over three floors without noise or interruptions.
Unfortunately, we do not like the attached buttons on the 1MORE SonoFlow as the haptic feedback is rather harsh and a click of the buttons is clearly perceptible in the ear when worn.

1MORE has definitely built some interesting hardware into the SonoFlow. Thus, the over-ear headphones have dynamic 40 mm drivers with DLC composite diaphragm and a soft TPU film. This results in a clear sound image that seems quite coherent overall. The trebles are crisp, while the basses and mids are rather warm to the listener. According to my own impression, the basses are rather soft in the factory state during the test, but can be adjusted via the associated app via preset equalizer.
Thanks to LDAC decoding, which can be activated via the app as well as in the smartphone’s Bluetooth settings, voices become even more precise and songs come out with more information. This feature is an absolute treat for the ears.
The sound quality is thus well-tuned in our opinion and is completely okay for headphones in this price segment – but you should not expect a brute experience like in studio headphones.
The 1MORE SonoFlow can be used very well for telephony. My conversation partners understood me clearly during the test in the home office and there was no noise during the call either.

To suppress all ambient noise, 1MORE has built five microphones into the SonoFlow, which does an overall good job with the help of an AI algorithm. The SonoFlow cannot completely filter out voices in the background and the clicking of the keyboard, but it can reduce it to a minimum.
Of course, this can be seen as an advantage as well as a disadvantage – during the test on the train and then on the plane, I was able to react to my partner and not only pay attention to his facial expressions. Appropriate announcements at the train station or airport could also be heard with activated ANC, which definitely simplified the use on the road. Constant noise on the journey was only faintly audible due to the ANC and was no longer perceived as annoying. It is thus possible for the listener to immerse himself in his own world to a certain extent and still be able to react to the surroundings in parallel.

You could almost say that charging is a foreign concept with the SonoFlow. So much in advance: The headphones really last a long time until they need to be recharged once again via the USB-C cable. When ANC is turned off, a battery life of up to 70 hours is possible during music playback. In ANC mode, the runtime is reduced by about 20 hours, which are still excellent rates. The long runtime even surpasses strong flagships from the competition and is definitely a unique selling point in this price range. If you need to recharge quickly, the headphones can be used for another 5 hours with only 5 minutes of charging thanks to the integrated quick-charge function.
One battery charge thus easily survives the usual home office week and even intercontinental flights are no problem for the SonoFlow in terms of runtime.

To configure the headphones, so 1MORE offers the app “1MORE MUSIC“. With the headphones connected, this allows several settings to be made for better sound. Future firmware updates for the headphones can also be downloaded and installed via a dedicated menu item. For relaxation, there is even a section where soothing sounds can be played.
In the app, we are able to switch between three different ANC modes. This function is identical to the physical button on the right ear cup. To get the most out of the headphones, it is worth activating the “High-definition Codec (LDAC)” right at the beginning during the initial setup.
In order to better adapt the SonoFlow to our own taste, we have twelve preset equalizers at our disposal. These differ significantly from each other and can give some songs a better dynamic. At this point, I really liked the equalizer “bass amplifier”. Unfortunately, we do not have an option for a configurable equalizer here – those who want this will probably have to turn to third-party apps.
Conclusion
The SonoFlow from 1MORE offers many successful premium features, which are otherwise only known from large manufacturers, at a comparatively low overall price. For a budget of up to around 100€, you definitely get a clean, balanced sound image with LDAC support with the over-ear headphones. The voice quality for phone calls is also convincing, which is output crystal clear thanks to the microphones. The absolute top feature of the SonoFlow is probably the battery life. A duration of 70 hours without ANC or 50 hours with ANC is otherwise searched for in vain in this segment.
From our point of view, a function for the gradual regulation of the Active Noise Cancellation would be desirable. The corresponding smartphone app also needs a dedicated, adjustable equalizer. The preloaded presets are quite appealing, but personal tastes are always different. Since both suggestions can even be realized by the manufacturer via update in our opinion, we are curious whether these will be rolled out with a future version.
