The Seal Pro from ETOE stands out as an intelligent Android TV 11.0 projector. The projector is aimed at the price-conscious who don’t want to put €1,000 on the table straight away. With a price tag of around €400, the aim is to bring the home cinema experience into your own four walls. On board is a Full HD resolution with a brightness of up to 1,000 ANSI lumens. The device is also Netflix certified and supports automatic focus and keystone correction.
Today we want to find out what else the ETOE Seal Pro projector has to offer and whether it can deliver a good performance despite its relatively low price.

Scope of delivery
- Projector, remote control and power supply unit
- Accessories: Operating instructions and cleaning cloth
The ETOE Seal Pro projector comes well packaged. In addition to the projector itself, the scope of delivery also includes the remote control and the 180 watt power supply unit. The operating instructions and a cleaning cloth for the lens round off the package nicely. Two AAA batteries, which are not included, are required to operate the remote control.
Features
- Native Full HD resolution, 4K playback in compressed quality
- Sealed housing to protect against dust
- Google TV with over 9,000 apps to choose from
As mentioned at the beginning, this is a projector with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The projector is repeatedly advertised as a 4K flagship, which is probably purely a marketing measure. From a technical point of view, it is merely an upscaling of a Full HD image, i.e. not a true 4K. With a brightness of up to 1,000 ANSI lumens, the ETOE Seal Pro is also suitable for use in daylight. The integrated autofocus is designed to ensure a seamlessly clean image, while the automatic keystone correction realigns the image each time it is positioned. Together with a maximum image size of up to 200 inches, even large walls can be brought to life. For comparison: this corresponds to an image area of approx. 5 meters in diameter. The ETOE Seal Pro is designed with an average lamp life of approx. 30,000 hours. At the same time, the fully sealed design protects the core components from the ingress of dust and prevents black spots on the inside of the lens.
In addition, the projector with Google TV as software offers a variety of apps, so that everything from Netflix and Amazon Prime to Disney+ or Apple TV+ should be included. Finally, you have access to around 9,000 apps from Google’s store if the relevant app is not pre-installed. The integrated Chromecast can also be used to stream content from a cell phone, for example. There is also full Dolby audio sound via the two stereo speakers and Google Assistant for convenient voice control.
Setup
- Easy to set up via smartphone
- Beamer is linked to Google account
- Germany is missing as a country, but this does not result in any functional restrictions
Thanks to Google TV, setting up is relatively simple. Simply connect the power adapter that supplies the projector with power and off you go. Incidentally, the ETOE Seal Pro does not work without a power supply unit as it does not have an internal battery. Of course, setting up the projector via cell phone is particularly convenient. In just a few minutes, the projector is added to your Google account and all steps can be completed via your smartphone. This is followed by a selection of frequently used apps that can be downloaded directly. Once downloaded, the projector is immediately ready for use. In addition, our projector was already up to date and no software updates were required.
The only stumbling block during setup is the question of location. Although the projector can be operated in German, there is no choice of Germany when we were asked to select a country. We opted for the United States. However, this decision did not lead to any problems or functional restrictions.
Ease of use
- Smooth display, partially delayed frames when booting
- Constantly audible fan
- Carrying handle for convenient transportation
Overall, the Android TV 11.0 operating system makes a good impression. The integrated WLAN, either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, works quickly and maintains the connection without interruption. The display is also smooth, although one or two frames are slightly delayed at the start. Nevertheless, the OS complements the projector perfectly and offers various multimedia functions. In addition to its use as a Bluetooth speaker, the ETOE Seal Pro can theoretically also be integrated into smart routines to automatically start the projector. WoW, WoL and WoC, i.e. Wake on Wireless network, LAN or Chromecast, are available for this purpose.
Admittedly, the two fans are permanently audible during operation. This goes unnoticed when watching movies, videos or listening to music, but it is definitely worth mentioning. If you find the remote control too cumbersome for long periods of typing, you can of course use the Google Assistant. Although not every request is recognized correctly straight away, it is usually faster than searching for the letters manually. If you want to take the ETOE Seal Pro Beamer with you on the go, the carrying handle on the top makes it easy to transport.
Picture quality
- Decent image quality for the price
- Fast autofocus with automatic keystone correction
- Image sharpness decreases towards the sides
As far as image quality is concerned, it is quite decent for the price! With its native Full HD resolution, the ETOE Seal Pro can of course not compete with current 4K projectors, but these are not in the same price range either. Especially in dark environments, the image is high-contrast and sharp, which makes watching movies fun. Thanks to its 1,000 ANSI lumens, the projector can also be used to watch TV in daylight. However, much of the color variety is already lost here and the picture looks rather pale. By the way: HDR content is automatically recognized by the projector.
The fast autofocus is impressive. This is activated automatically, including keystone correction, when the device is switched on and provides an optimum image area within a few seconds. This works reliably in our tests, even with spontaneous movements. Nevertheless, it can happen that the image sharpness is sharp in the center and decreases towards the sides. Manual fine adjustment or sensor calibration via the settings is necessary here, as otherwise the overall image may be perceived as blurred. However, the automatic keystone correction is helpful and, above all, very good. This also works during operation and quickly compensates for irregularities in the image. If necessary, each edge can be adjusted individually, but this should only be necessary in exceptional cases.
Sound quality
- Two 10 watt stereo speakers installed
- Sound quality varies depending on profile
- Bluetooth speaker can be paired for better sound quality
In terms of audio, the ETOE Seal Pro Beamer is equipped with two 10 watt stereo speakers. On the whole, these ensure a pleasant sound quality, even if this depends heavily on the five sound profiles. The projector is equipped with a user-defined profile ex works, but this is very quiet and contains hardly any bass. In music or movie mode, the volume is raised considerably and, depending on the profile, the bass is also boosted significantly. This method usually works, but the sound then tends to overdrive quickly. Depending on the application, you should therefore prefer the user-defined profile and make your own fine adjustments there. Alternatively, a Bluetooth speaker can be paired with the ETOE Seal Pro for even more sonic depth.
ETOE Seal Pro test: Conclusion
The ETOE Seal Pro presents itself as an inexpensive projector with extensive features. While the picture quality is largely convincing despite the Full HD resolution, depending on the mood of the day, the sound has to be compromised. If you also want to enjoy rich sound during your movie experience, you should connect a Bluetooth soundbar to the projector. The convenient setup and the Android TV 11.0 operating system should also be emphasized. The ETOE Seal Pro was easy to navigate through the menus and the autofocus and automatic keystone correction also ensured a good picture in no time at all.
Compared to other projectors in this price range, the ETOE Seal Pro has a lot to offer. However, it is only suitable for constant use on the move to a limited extent due to the lack of a rechargeable battery. If this is important to you, you can take a look at the Formovie Dice as an alternative, which we also tested in our blog.
