Quersus VAOS.3 Audi Test: Assembly

  • Distribution over two packages
  • Quick and easy to assemble
  • Tools included

The Quersus VAOS.3 Audi comes to you in two bulky packages, each weighing around 17 kilograms. Inside, you can quickly see the well-thought-out structure of the boxes, in which all the components of the gaming chair are neatly sorted and securely packed in polystyrene and plastic.

To make assembly a breeze, Quersus includes a bit screwdriver with interchangeable heads in the box. Generous assembly instructions give hope that assembly will be quick and easy.

And that is indeed the case. The chair is assembled in just around ten steps. The first step is to attach the backrest to the chair and screw the armrests to the seat. Practical. The armrests come with a rail that you can slide to adjust the width. The armrests should therefore not be pulled completely tight at first.

Once this is done, the mechanism can be screwed to the seat. Now the connecting brackets between the seat and backrest need to be screwed on and fitted under the mechanism in the holes provided.

The next step is to insert the castors into the base. Once you have inserted the gas pressure spring, the seat can be attached to the base. And, by and large, that’s it. Now just attach the headrest cushion using a Velcro strip and the Quersus VAOS.3 Audi is ready.

Quersus VAOS.3 Audi: Elegant design meets outstanding ergonomics

  • high-quality design
  • outstanding workmanship
  • comfortable fabric

The design of the Quersus VAOS.3 Audi is naturally a real eye-catcher. With its black and gray look, the chair is both elegant and simple, while the red accents and the embroidered Audi Sport lettering as well as the car manufacturer’s four gray rings create a pleasant contrast.

The entire chair has a pleasantly high-quality and very robust appearance. The seat (like the backrest) is made from a breathable, soft and hard-wearing suede-like fabric (NFS – Nano Fabric Suede), which is relatively hard but offers a very high level of comfort.

With an internal width of 45 cm before the seat is raised, the chair is also suitable for wider bottoms; the VAOS.3 has a maximum seat width of 56 cm and a depth of 71-76 cm.
Depending on the setting, the seat is 42.5 cm to 52 cm above the floor, which, in combination with the 88 cm high seat backrest, ensures a high level of comfort even for taller people.
The workmanship of the chair is excellent, the components look very robust and of high quality. Another practical feature is that the armrest cushions can be replaced. To do this, they can simply be unlocked and removed from the underside of the armrests. This solution is much more difficult than the magnetic pads on Secretlab, which I really like.

High seating comfort

  • Comfortable base
  • Pleasant lumbar support
  • 4D armrests; but no real rocking function

The first time you sit in the Quersus VAOS.3 Audi, you can already tell that it is very comfortable. The high-quality materials and the pleasantly soft fabric in combination with the rather hard upholstery ensure that you sit very comfortably in the chair and are held in position well at the same time.

Even when sitting for long periods, the gaming chair provides comfortable support. I also find the large and soft head cushion very comfortable, which is thick enough to relieve the head very well without having to lean back too far. This makes the chair perfect for people up to 190 cm tall, above this height the cushion can no longer be ideally positioned.

The armrest is softer, more adaptable, more stable and more durable. It is wide and long enough to comfortably accommodate the entire forearm. They are also adjustable in four dimensions and can be adjusted in height, moved forwards or backwards and moved inwards and outwards.

The backrest tilts together with the seat and is equipped with an anti-shock system that prevents the backrest from hitting the back. Quersus calls the system the OS mechanism (Optimus Synchron), whereby the backrest can be locked in five positions.

Of course, there is also a lumbar support, called LumbFlex, which can be adjusted in four directions and thus provides ideal relief for the lumbar vertebrae. It can be adjusted in terms of depth and height. This is done using the rotary knob on the back of the chair and allows very precise and comfortable adjustment.

All in all, the sitting experience in the Quersus VAOS.3 Audi is excellent, the only thing I would have liked to see is a sparing rocker mechanism, as found in many other chairs.

Quersus VAOS.3 Audi test: Conclusion

Elegant design, excellent ergonomics and convincing seating comfort. The Quersus VAOS.3 Audi is a really very good gaming chair that should particularly appeal to Audi fans. High-quality materials and a convincing finish speak for quality, while the Nano fabric holds you in place very well.

The numerous adjustment options for the seating position ensure that everyone is guaranteed to find the ideal seat – at least if you are not taller than 190 cm, as otherwise the neck cushion can no longer be ideally positioned.

The Quersus VAOS.3 Audi therefore absolutely lives up to its rather high price. You are guaranteed to be happy with this gaming chair.
