Are you looking for a new robot vacuum cleaner? Then you should be prepared for a long search. After all, the range has rarely been more diverse than it is now. In addition to established brands like Roborock, Dreame and Ecovacs, more and more models from unknown manufacturers are seeing the light of day. In the Ultenic T10 test, we want to take a look at one such representative.
The suction and mopping robot does not only want to convince with a practical suction station. On top of that, the device should be able to offer a lot of performance for little money. Whether the manufacturer from Taiwan can keep its promises, you can read below.

Scope of delivery
First, let’s take a look at the packaging. What does Ultenic include in view of the low price? Apart from the robot and suction station, you’ll also find two matching wipes in the packaging. This way, you can always wash a cloth in the washing machine without having to do without the wiping function. Furthermore, a practical cleaning tool, a replacement HEPA filter and a remote control are included. Since the extraction station relies on disposable dust bags, Ultenic commendably includes two additional dust bags in addition to the one already installed. These are to be changed about every two months, which is why you can rest for half a year ex-works for now.
Ultenic T10 review: design and workmanship
- Classic circle design
- Tower with LiDAR sensors on top
- No maintenance hatch on top
- Access dust bin via side
- Compact dust collection station
The Ultenic T10 also does not reinvent the wheel in the field of vacuum robots visually. Thus, the smart household helper comes along with the usual curves by relying on a circular design. On the upper side, you can see a small tower underneath which the LiDAR sensors are located. Beyond that, you can see a small control unit with several blue illuminated buttons.
Ultenic relies on classic white, which gives the robot vacuum cleaner a classy face. On the lower side, there are not only two wheels, but also the main brush as well as a side brush. Unfortunately, the former is not completely made of rubber, but relies on a combination of bristles and rubber slats. However, anything else would be surprising in this price range.
The design of the suction station suits the smart household helper perfectly. This is not only because it also comes in a white color. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 28 cm x 36 cm x 19.5 cm, it also does not crush the robot vacuum cleaner. German users will be happy to know that Ultenic includes a German power connector with the robot vacuum, which means you can do without an annoying adapter.
All in all, the Ultenic T10 is not a design piece like, say, the far more expensive Ecovacs X1 Omni (test). You could rather describe the looks as boring and reserved. Of course, you have to know for yourself if that bothers you. Personally, I prefer it anyway when household appliances don’t push themselves too much into the foreground.
Ultenic T10 test: uncomplicated setup
- Factory assembled
- A lot of clearance around the robot vacuum needed
- Quick setup
It’s not just in terms of design that Ultenic recalls the virtues of other manufacturers. The setup is also extremely simple. Will mean that suction robot and suction station are already delivered completely assembled. Even the vacuum bag was already inserted in the suction station. All you have to do is plug in the power plug on the back of the suction station and you’re ready to go. Of course, if you want to use the wiping function, you also have to fill water into the corresponding tank and install one of the wiping cloths.
Finding a suitable place for the Ultenic T10 can be complicated at times. After all, the instruction manual states that the robot vacuum should have a space of 2.5 m to the front and 50 cm each to the left and right. This is certainly due to the fear that the robot might not be able to find its way back to its station and might get stuck. Otherwise, the instructions were easy to put into practice. In particular, the connection to the in-house wireless network went quickly from the hand.
Ultenic T10 test: High operating comfort thanks to suitable app
- Operation via app, buttons on the robot vacuum cleaner or remote control
- App for iOS and Android
- App scores with overview and the usual setting options (cleaning schedules, no-go zones, etc.)
A smart household helper is only really useful if it offers a high level of ease of use. Like many other vacuum robots, the Ultenic T10 also offers a suitable app, which should facilitate the control. The Ultenic app not only makes setting up the robot extremely easy. It is also easy to operate. In itself, the app is optional.
Alternatively, you can also control the robot vacuum via the control panel or the included remote control. However, if you decide against control via app, you have to live with the fact that the range of functions is limited.
Ultenic T10 test: practical app control
Some apps for vacuum robots already disappointed me with a poor overview. The situation is different with the Ultenic app. Thus, the application for iOS and Android devices scores thanks to its intuitive structured for a very good overview and convenient operation. Among other things, you can view the map that the robot vacuum creates of your own four walls. As known from other representatives of the favor, individual settings for cleaning can be made within the map.
For example, you can send the robot to specific areas or set up no-go areas to do the opposite. In addition, different cleaning settings can be defined room by room. Practical cleaning schedules not only ensure that the robot cleans the apartment independently every day. On top of that, each room gets the cleaning it really needs. In practice, the Ultenic T10 is also surprisingly talkative.
Thanks to its voice output, the smart household helper keeps you informed about its current status at all times. You can choose between different languages in the app. While you will encounter one or the other mistranslation within the app, I was completely convinced by the German voice output. The app also does a great job in terms of maintenance. Finally, you can view the status of the individual brushes via the app. Since these can be conveniently replaced on the smart household helper, you can always keep it up to date.
Ultenic T10 review: navigation and mobility
- LiDAR sensor and camera technology
- Furniture is reliably detected
- Small objects on the floor are often overlooked
While laser navigation using modern LiDAR sensors was until some time ago reserved only for expensive high-end models, it is now increasingly found in the middle class. The Ultenic T10 is a good example of this. In practice, the small turret on top, where the laser technology lies dormant, did a great job. This could be seen in the fact that the smart household helper found its way around my own four walls in the best possible way.
The big advantage at the laser navigation comes to light once it is dark. Thus, the vacuum robot can navigate through the apartment even in absolute darkness still targeted. If you live in an old apartment, you may have annoying thresholds between rooms. Crossing these is a major challenge for some vacuum robots. The Ultenic T10 has a practical helper on board especially for this. By means of an extendable mini foot, it can also cross thresholds without any problems.
Ultenic T10 test: small objects are overlooked
In practice, however, the Ultenic T10 occasionally cannot hide the fact that it relies almost exclusively on laser navigation. Thus, smaller objects on the floor in front of it are almost always overlooked. So, anyone with children should first clear the floor of toys before every cleaning spree. LEGO sends its regards.
However, in the price range we’re in here, you also can’t expect bulging sensor packages like those available in the upper and upper-middle classes. Top models such as the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni or the Dreame L10s Ultra (test), for example, also rely on modern camera technology located directly on the front in addition to LiDAR. This usually does not miss even small obstacles.
Ultenic T10 test: the suction performance
- Good suction performance
- Carpet detection
With a suction power of 3,200 Pascal, the Ultenic T10 offers a decent value, which it can also transfer to the floor in the best way. Thus, the smart household helper coped perfectly not only with usual dust, but also cat litter and dog hair. Thanks to practical carpet detection, the robot vacuum also immediately increases suction power when driving over a carpet.
Unfortunately, it cannot lift its wiping surface in the process. So if you’re worried about a wet carpet, it’s best to remove the unit. Of course, something gets left behind here and there, but that’s not unheard of even in upper-class models. As a pet owner, you should always let the robot vacuum do two rounds anyway. The cleaning schedule in the app makes it possible.
Ultenic T10 test: the mopping performance
- Satisfactory wiping performance
But the Ultenic T10 is not just a pure vacuuming robot. In addition, he can also mop your floors. As can hardly be expected otherwise in this price range, however, the mopping function can be seen more as a small gimmick. Features like a vibrating wiping surface like in the Roborock S7 (test) or even rotating wiping pads like in the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni are not available here. The wiping results also turn out accordingly. However, even an only satisfactory wiping performance is better than none.
This way, the mop plate takes care of the fine particles that are still on the floor after being vacuumed up. Stubborn dirt, however, is not feasible for it. Ultenic relies on a combination container for the vacuum robot. This consists of a dust and water container and can be removed at the back. It offers a total of 280 ml for the collected dirt. However, you do not have to worry about this thanks to the suction station.
The situation is different with the water tank, which has a volume of 300 ml. You have to refill this regularly depending on the water flow rate, which can also be adjusted in the app, if you want to use the wiping function. Ultenic gives surprisingly good rates in terms of stamina. Thus, the 5,200 mAh battery is said to be able to last up to just under four and a half hours – in Eco mode.
Ultenic T10 review: practical suction station at a bargain price
- Vacuum bag with 4.3 l capacity
- Frequency of vacuuming can be regulated in app
- Two spare bags included
It is quite amazing at what price you can get the Ultenic T10 including the suction station. After all, it cost until some time ago alone just under 300 euros, if you only wanted to buy a suction station as a supplement to the suction robot in addition. Here, you get a complete package for the same price. But is the station any good?
In practice, it proved to be a practical companion. After all, it reliably vacuums the smart household helper after each cleaning tour. A total of 4.3 liters fit into the vacuum cleaner bag. This should ensure that you only have to replace it about every 1-2 months.
Since the suction process makes noise for a few seconds, you can also regulate how often the vacuum robot should be emptied at all, depending on your mood. For normal-sized apartments where the robot makes its circles every day, emptying every two to three cleaning tours should usually be perfectly sufficient.
Conclusion
So what do you get for the bargain price of just over 300 euros? An astonishing amount, in my opinion! While the Ultenic T10 is not a marvel of design art, you can’t fault the smart household helper in terms of workmanship. Of course, the pressure points of the control unit are not on the level of the upper-class models, but here you have to be on the lookout for the fly in the ointment to really get annoyed about it.
The ease of use is also on a high level thanks to the included remote control and app support. I would describe the cleaning performance as good, but it clearly lags behind the high-priced competition when it comes to wiping. A highlight that does not match the low price at all is the suction station. This unfortunately relies on disposable dust bags again, but it reliably does what it is supposed to in practice. If you are looking for an inexpensive combination of a vacuum robot and a suction station, you should definitely give the Ultenic T10 a chance.
