NiPoGi Hyper H2 Test: Design and processing
The NiPoGi Hyper H2 has a deliberately unobtrusive appearance: its housing measures a compact 12.8 × 4.7 × 12.8 cm and weighs around 579 g. The exterior is mainly made of plastic, partly in a silver-colored finish. The copper-colored plastic grille above the fan area, which is intended to look a little like cooling fins, is striking.
The underside has a large air outlet, while the front and sides are deliberately kept clean: The placement of stickers is discreet – there are hardly any distracting eye-catchers.
Overall, the design appears functional and clear, without excessive accents, but also not particularly high-quality in the choice of materials.
In terms of workmanship, there is light and shade: The appearance of the case is relatively simple due to the plastic, and the copper-colored grille in particular seems more decorative than sturdily constructed. On the other hand, the Mini-PC impresses with its solid construction, without rattling parts or unclean spots.
When it comes to maintenance, NiPoGi has tried to ensure accessibility. The underside does not contain any screws hidden under rubber feet, as is often the case with other manufacturers. Instead, there is a slide switch plus a screw to remove the top part.
After loosening this mechanism, the top cover can be removed and further screws exposed to access central components (RAM, SSD, WLAN module). The inner workings are structured in a modular way: the memory slots, the WLAN module with antennas and the NVMe slots are relatively freely accessible.
NiPoGi H2: Features and connections
NiPoGi delivers a well-rounded overall package in terms of equipment. Inside is an Intel Core i9-11900H, an eight-core processor with Hyper-Threading, which comes from the notebook segment but offers good performance for a mini PC. In combination with 32 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM, which is already installed ex works in dual-channel mode, the result is a system that is also equipped for more demanding applications.
The RAM can be expanded to up to 64 gigabytes, making the NiPoGi H2 suitable for memory-hungry scenarios. An NVMe SSD with one terabyte capacity is used as standard for mass storage. This ensures fast loading times and short boot phases, although the write rate under prolonged load cannot keep up with top models. A second M.2 slot is available for expansions so that a total of two fast NVMe drives can be operated.
When it comes to connections, the mini PC is pleasingly generous. HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, four classic USB 3.2 ports and a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port can be found at the rear. On the front, NiPoGi adds two modern USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, a USB-C port with display output and a combined jack socket for headphones and microphone. This allows up to three monitors to be controlled simultaneously – in 4K resolution. However, there is no card reader and modern interfaces such as Thunderbolt or USB4 are also missing.
The Hyper H2 also impresses when it comes to network connectivity: in addition to the fast wired 2.5 gigabit LAN, it offers WLAN 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, making it future-proof for both home office and multimedia use.
Practical and benchmark test
In practical use, the Hyper H2 is particularly impressive in classic office and multimedia scenarios. As expected, office applications run smoothly, websites load quickly and even playing high-resolution videos does not cause the system any difficulties. Thanks to hardware support for modern codecs such as AV1, even 8K material can be played back smoothly on a 4K monitor.
In most scenarios, the mini PC works quite quietly and does not heat up excessively. However, under load, the fan quickly revs up and becomes clearly audible. Since there is no way to adjust the fan curves in the BIOS, you have to live with this behavior. On the positive side, the temperatures remain stable despite high loads and the CPU can maintain its Turbo clock for a long time. The SSD is also reliably cooled by the special cage with thermal pad.
The 11th generation Intel Core i9 is also no longer up to date in terms of energy efficiency and consumes noticeably more energy, especially compared to the newer generations of chips.
Benchmarks
The NiPoGi H2 delivers good results in benchmarks. Geekbench 6 attests the i9-11900H 2,236 points in the single-core test and 8,721 points in the multi-core test. Cinebench R23 achieves 9,308 points in the multi-core test and 1,551 points in the single-core test. These values are in a range that enables even demanding productive applications. Rendering tasks in programs such as Blender or more complex projects in Photoshop or DaVinci Resolve can also be processed with it – even if not at workstation level.
However, the weaknesses of the Hyper H2 are particularly evident in its graphics performance. The integrated Intel UHD graphics are sufficient for everyday tasks and simple games, but quickly reach their limits with modern titles.
More demanding games can often hardly be played smoothly in 1080p resolution at low details, but the graphics performance is certainly sufficient for indie titles, older games or simple 3D visualizations.

NiPoGi H2 Review: Conclusion
The NiPoGi H2 is a thoroughly exciting and high-quality mini PC that scores above all with its convincing everyday performance. Although the chip is no longer state of the art and could certainly work more efficiently, the performance offered is sufficient for most scenarios.
The combination with 32 GB of RAM is ample, the choice of connections is fine and the expandability is impressive. However, there is criticism, for example, for the moderate graphics performance and high noise level under load, while the energy consumption cannot keep up with current chips.
However, especially now that the NiPoGi H2 is on offer at a greatly reduced price until October 19, it is definitely worth buying in terms of the price-performance ratio.
PROS
- Good everyday performance
- 32 GB RAM
- Coherent port selection
- Good maintenance options
CONS
- Weak gaming performance
- Very loud under load
- Energy efficiency could be better
Conclusion
The NiPoGi H2 is an exciting mini PC that offers very good performance for everyday tasks. However, the noise level and efficiency could be better.
