The design of the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K Phantom White demonstrates how Razer combines modern gaming aesthetics with functional ergonomics. The Basilisk model series stands for an ergonomic, curved shape with a thumb rest, which ensures an extremely high level of comfort for right-handed gamers and should keep gaming fun high for hours on end.
The brand new Phantom White Edition sets new visual accents with its transparent white surface, which clearly stands out from the often dominant black or gray models. The surface is not only an eye-catcher, but also leaves a positive haptic impression.
It has a good grip, is not slippery and remains completely resistant to fingerprints. The design also allows an insight into the inner workings of the wireless gaming mouse, which looks very cool in practice. Of course, it also showcases the Razer Chroma RGB lighting excellently, which extends across several zones including the underbody lighting.
The sides of the mouse are fitted with high-quality rubber coating so that the thumb always has a secure grip on the rest. This attention to detail rounds off the elegant design and ensures that the device remains comfortable even after intensive use. The Basilisk V3 Pro 35K Phantom White has the same features as the normal model, and they are absolutely top-notch. The model series is primarily aimed at MMO and MOBA fans who appreciate as many keys as possible. The rodent has 13 individually customizable buttons at your disposal.
In addition to the two main buttons and mouse wheel, there are two thumb buttons on the side, a multifunctional DPI button and the option to change the profile directly on the mouse. The workmanship of the buttons is outstanding, the pressure point is clearly defined and the response time is minimal.
The focus is of course on the precise Razer Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor, which delivers an impressive native resolution of up to 35,000 DPI at 750 IPS and 70 G mouse acceleration. The resolution can be precisely adjusted in 1 DPI increments.
This means that navigation is absolutely pixel-perfect even at extremely high screen resolutions – and the speed of the sensor is also impressive. The lift-off distance is infinitely adjustable and is particularly relevant for professional users who frequently reposition their mouse.
The freely configurable Razer Hyperscroll mouse wheel is particularly ingenious. Not only is it a 4-way scroll wheel (which can not only be turned forwards and backwards, but also to the right and left), it can also be set to three modes.
Either in tactile mode for precise scrolling, freely rotating for ultra-smooth scrolling or in smart-reel mode, which switches between the two aforementioned options depending on the scrolling speed. The scroll wheel has an excellent raster and works extremely accurately thanks to its non-slip surface.

The rodent is also compatible with the manufacturer’s charging pucks and can be charged inductively in conjunction with the HyperFlux V2 Wireless Charging System (our test), for example.
Battery life: right at the forefront
In terms of battery life, the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K is right up there with the best. With average use without activated RGB lighting, up to 140 hours of continuous operation are realistic. A peak value that is only surpassed by a few competitor products. With the lighting activated, the runtime is understandably reduced: During intensive gaming sessions with high effects and a high polling rate, it is in the range of 40 to 60 hours, depending on individual usage behavior and light settings.
A full 210 hours of continuous operation is even possible via Bluetooth. Although this is no longer suitable for esports due to the latency, it is absolutely usable for office use and on the go.
The mouse’s energy management works extremely efficiently. If it is not moved, it automatically switches to sleep mode. This saves power and significantly extends the usage time between charges. A fast charging mode is also integrated. When connected via USB-C, short charging breaks are sufficient to get the mouse ready for use again quickly. Wireless charging via the Mouse Dock Pro is even more convenient: simply placing the mouse on the dock is enough to charge the battery, ideal for users who prefer a setup that is as wireless as possible.
App connection: Razer Synapse
The Basilisk V3 Pro 35K is controlled and customized entirely via the Razer Synapse software, which remains one of the most feature-rich and versatile tools in gaming. Synapse allows detailed customization of all eleven buttons, for which macros, shortcuts and functions can be freely configured. The various profiles, which can be saved on the mouse itself or in the cloud, are perfect for multi-gamer households or users with different requirements.
The RGB lighting can also be controlled granularly: In addition to various lighting effects, individual colors and animations can be stored and complex synchronisms with other Razer products can be set up. DPI values and polling rates are infinitely variable via the software and can be set individually for individual profiles. If you wish, you can set the lift-off distance, view motion analyses or make fine adjustments to the sensor.
However, Synapse requires a certain amount of training. Newcomers in particular find the multitude of options and the sometimes complex interface overwhelming. In rare cases, the system load is criticized, as the software requires some resources – for advanced users, however, the advantages of comprehensive customization clearly outweigh the disadvantages. In the test, the software proved to be stable and reliable, the settings could be synchronized without any problems and were transferred to the hardware without latency.
Sensor and practical test
In practical use, the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K Phantom White undoubtedly proves that it is one of the best wireless gaming mice. The new Focus Pro 35K sensor in particular impresses with its flawless tracking. Even on glass surfaces, the precision remains impressively high. Tracking is completely free of acceleration or jitter problems, even with fast flick shots in first-person shooters or delicate movements in MOBA games, the mouse follows the inputs extremely precisely.
The differences to standard sensors become clear when it comes to extremely fast movements with low lift-off distance: the mouse always remains stable, reacts immediately and converts inputs directly into movements. It also scores points for its balanced weight in everyday use. It is not the lightest mouse on the market, but offers a good compromise between stability and manageability. Switching between palm, claw and fingertip grip is possible without restrictions – the shape is optimized for all common grip types.
The freely assignable keys offer MMO and MOBA players in particular numerous options for customization. The practical test showed that complex macros, fast DPI changes and in-game commands are triggered reliably and without delay. The scroll wheel was convincing in both tactile and stepless mode and offered real added value not only in gaming, but also in everyday office use (when editing tables or documents).

The only fly in the ointment is the high price, although this could probably fall quite quickly. The new Phantom White design is particularly appealing, as it not only skillfully showcases the inner workings, but also takes RGB lighting to a whole new level.
