With the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 gaming monitor, the Chinese manufacturer, which is still relatively unknown in this country, is offering a lot of technology for little money. It is a 32-inch WQHD monitor that is designed for a 16:9 aspect ratio. In contrast to its little brother, the TITAN ARMY P27GR (our test), this monitor goes one better, especially when it comes to gaming features. The refresh rate is a lightning-fast 240 Hz with a latency of 1 ms and the HDMI connections have also been upgraded to HDMI 2.1. The latter should be of particular interest to console fans who use a PlayStation 5 or Xbox One X for gaming.
The following test will show whether these innovations are also noticeable in everyday use and whether the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 ultimately receives a recommendation.

Scope of delivery
- Securely packaged 32-inch monitor with foam protection
- Includes monitor, stand, base, cable set
- Additional instructions with screw kit for mounting
The TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 is delivered neatly packaged in an elongated cardboard box, which protects the contents of the package with sufficient foam. In addition to the large 32-inch monitor itself, the monitor stand, consisting of a stand and base, is also included. A cable set is also included, which consists of a Displayport cable, the mains cable and the actual power supply unit. The scope of delivery is rounded off by the operating instructions and a screw kit for the monitor stand or alternatively for a wall bracket.
Mounting
- Simple assembly in just a few steps
- Monitor takes up a lot of space due to the voluminous stand
- Wall mounting possible with separately available 100×100 VESA mount
Mounting the monitor stand and attaching it to the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 is done in just a few simple steps. First, the base and the stand are mounted from the underside using the three screws provided. The bracket is then clipped onto the back of the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 until it clicks securely into place. At this point, the monitor can be lifted and set up at the workstation. Incidentally, this requires a large work surface, as the voluminous stand does take up quite a bit of space on the desk.
Alternatively, the gaming monitor can be mounted on the wall. For this purpose, the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 relies on the 100×100 VESA mount. As usual, however, such a wall mount is not included in the scope of delivery and must be purchased separately if required. Attention should be paid to the weight, because at a hefty 8.69 kg, the screen is not necessarily one of the lightweights.
Optics & workmanship
- Stylish design in black/red/green, incl. backlighting
- Height-adjustable mount and tiltability from -5° to 15° ± 2°
- Improved HDMI 2.1 connections, solid workmanship for the price
Visually, the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 is very similar to its smaller sister model, apart from the 5 inch difference in screen diagonal. As usual for the manufacturer, the eye-catching black/red/green color combination also comes into its own here. While the front is mainly covered by the display with its black frame, the green TITAN ARMY lettering is used at the bottom edge. The red accents, on the other hand, can be found on the back and especially on the stand. When the monitor is switched on, the red backlight can also be optionally activated via the on-screen display. In addition, the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 can be tilted between -5° and up to 15° ± 2° if required. The same applies to the height variation within a frame of approx. 9.5 cm.
In terms of workmanship, the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 is commensurate with its price. Although the casing is mainly made of plastic and the controls are a little spongy, this shouldn’t be too much of an issue when it comes to the gaming experience. On the other hand, some gamers with multi-monitor setups might find the edge of the screen rather annoying, as it is noticeable at around 9 mm. Nevertheless, the very solid, height-adjustable monitor mount and the matching color design for most gamers are positive features. The improvement of the HDMI outputs to the latest HDMI 2.1 standard is also pleasing. This puts the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 on a par with equivalent monitors, both visually and in terms of workmanship.
Operation and the OSD
- Five buttons for navigation and configuration of settings
- Various presets and sliders for image optimization
- Optional crosshair, playtime, adaptive sync and HDR adjustable
The OSD is operated and called up using five buttons at the bottom right of the monitor. The M button is used to select a function and the usual up and down arrow buttons. A back button is used for navigation and the button for switching the screen on and off is located on the far right. The latter is also equipped with an LED.
The OSD, or on-screen display, provides access to advanced functions of the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2. The picture mode tab, for example, offers several presets that differ in terms of contrast, brightness, saturation and color tone as well as temperature and gamma value. These parameters can of course be adjusted as required, which is why a slider is available for each value. In addition, TITAN ARMY offers individual functions for image enhancement via other menu items, such as contrast enhancement, night vision mode or color enhancement. You should therefore take a few minutes to explore the individual points, especially during setup.
The Game + menu item is particularly appealing to gamers. This is because a crosshair can be displayed here to give you a small advantage in hardcore mode. The game time can also be tracked or a stopwatch can be displayed via the OSD. Adaptive Sync and HDR can also be found in this category and are switched off by default. It is therefore necessary to check once and activate these functions accordingly. Otherwise, you won’t be able to enjoy AMD Freesync, which is considered the standard for gamers these days. Without this feature, the image has a tendency to tearing/fraying of frames. As the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 is not labeled as a G-Sync monitor, this function is not supported by default. However, it can be activated in the NVIDIA settings despite a warning, as should also be the case with other monitors. However, due to the lack of an NVIDIA graphics card, we were unable to test this ourselves.
Quality of the display
- WQHD resolution (2560×1440 pixels) in 16:9 format, pixel density of 91.79 PPI
- Refresh rate up to 240 Hz, adjustable to intermediate levels 144/120/60 Hz
- HDR400, Low Blue Light, PIP/PBP and 1 ms response time
Now back to the display, which is ultimately the heart of the monitor. The resolution of the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 is WQHD, i.e. 2560×1440 pixels in the conventional 16:9 format. Although this is still common today, the trend is moving towards 21:9, which provides a wider picture, especially for games or films, but is more expensive. Converted to pixel density, the WQHD resolution results in a value of 91.79 PPI for a screen diagonal of 32 inches.
As far as the refresh rate is concerned, this reaches up to 240 Hz via the Displayport cable supplied and the connection of the same name. Thanks to HDMI 2.1, such resolutions including refresh rate are now also available at the HDMI outputs. If this is too much for you, you can limit the refresh rate in intermediate steps to 144, 120 or 60 Hz. HDR400 is available with the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 for an extended dynamic range or a higher-contrast and more color-intensive picture. However, this must be activated separately in the OSD, otherwise Windows will not recognize the HDR feature.
Other features of the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 include support for Low Blue Light and PIP/PBP. The latter allows the monitor to be split and two video signals to be output simultaneously. As with the TITAN ARMY P27GR, the response time of 1 ms at GTG is excellent.
Practical test: Picture quality
- More space and less scrolling when working thanks to 1440p resolution
- Smooth gaming experience thanks to 240 Hz refresh rate
- Good color reproduction, but limited HDR and viewing angles
Now it’s time for the practical test and we test the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 in everyday use. The gaming monitor should not only be suitable for gaming, but also for the home office. This mixed use is commonplace these days, especially in the IT sector.
Working with the monitor?
In the latter case, the P32A2S2 with its 1440p resolution proves to be particularly useful. In contrast to commercially available Full HD monitors, which are usually standard in everyday work anyway, there is significantly more space available here. This saves a lot of scrolling, especially on websites, when working with Excel spreadsheets or Adobe programs. Even more information on the same screen size would, of course, be possible with 4K monitors, but at a higher cost.
An immersive gaming experience?
The TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 can particularly shine when gaming thanks to 240 Hz. In fact, this refresh rate is not the standard, because in the WQHD sector, 144 or 165 Hz is usually the limit. Provided you have a powerful gaming PC that can reproduce these frames consistently, gaming is really fun! For example, Counter-Strike 2 actually looks smoother in comparison than at 144 Hz. However, there is no significant jump from 60 to 144 Hz.
We were unable to observe any tearing after activating Adaptive Sync. As with the smaller model, the gaming features are really useful depending on the genre. For darker games, the post-processing for dark scenes is worthwhile and the in-house image sharpening and color enhancements spice up the picture visually. However, such options should not be used to the full, as otherwise the picture will look artificial. However, an adjustable range in the first third of the slider is definitely recommended. As far as the backlighting is concerned, it is cool for a brief moment. After a while, however, we switched it off again, as it’s just a nice gimmick. A fully-fledged Ambilight on the outer edges, as on televisions, would of course make more sense than just a faint strip of light in the middle of the screen.
In terms of color, the built-in Fast IPS panel makes a solid impression and ensures a displayable color space of SRGB 136% CIE 1931 and 97% DCI-P3. HDR400 is also a good addition, although it is more of an entry-level feature. For an optimal HDR experience, a monitor with at least 600 nits, or even better 1000 nits, would be more attractive, but this is clearly noticeable in the budget. In this respect, what is on offer is perfectly acceptable in terms of value for money.
As far as backlight bleeding is concerned, this is fortunately a tad lower on our test model than on the TITAN ARMY P27GR. On the other hand, the viewing angle is less impressive. When viewed from the front, the picture is colorful and crisp, whereas it is noticeably less so from the side.
TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 test: Conclusion
All in all, the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2 is an attractive model with a current price of under €300 (test date: 07.11.2024). The Fast IPS panel ensures a beautiful display, which is also shown to its best advantage with the 32-inch screen. The WQHD resolution in combination with the 240 Hz naturally appeals primarily to gamers who have a powerful gaming PC at home or mainly play eSports games. Otherwise, it will probably be difficult to continuously exploit the 240 Hz in triple A games. The gaming functions of the OSD menu are also impressive, although access via the controls is still somewhat cumbersome.
The upgrade of the connections to the latest standard should also be emphasized positively, which is particularly evident with the two HDMI 2.1 connections. This means you are equipped for the future and can exploit the possibilities of the consoles, apart from the lack of 4K resolution. Although the backlight is a nice gimmick, this alone is not a decisive purchase criterion. Ultimately, the LED strip is only positioned in the middle and cannot be equated with the ambilights familiar from the TV sector.
If you have enough space for a large monitor with a solid stand on the tabletop and value a good price-performance ratio, you can go for the TITAN ARMY P32A2S2. Nevertheless, you should compare the offers in advance, as 21:9 monitors are also available in this price range. In this case, it is up to you to decide to what extent you prefer a high refresh rate, as here with 240 Hz, or rather a wide field of view.
