SCHENKER DOCK 15: Powerful Business Allrounder with Docking Station Support

With the new version L18, the robust SCHENKER DOCK 15 receives even more performance and flexibility. While an optional docking station allows fast reintegration of the laptop at a stationary workstation, the new six-core desktop CPU from Intel’s eighth core generation provides a high level of computing power. Thanks to modern, external interfaces including Thunderbolt 3, an easily replaceable battery, a good display and precise input devices, the device advances to a versatile and reliable business all-rounder for daily mobile and stationary use.

The SCHENKER DOCK 15 has a robust and torsion-resistant housing with a non-slip soft-touch surface that provides a rock-solid basis for mobile everyday work and promises a long service life even with continuous use. New is the fundamentally revised Intel H370 platform. The highest configuration variant uses a plug-in Hexacore CPU from the desktop segment, which can handle even very compute-intensive workloads in a short time: The six cores of Intel’s hyperthreading Core i7-8700T work with a base clock of 2.4 GHz each (maximum turbo boost: 4.0 GHz), while the model has a TDP of only 35 watts. In combination with the powerful cooling of the device and the frugal, integrated graphics chip of the Intel UHD Graphics 630 type, this results in a high-performance, smooth mobile device.

IPS Display, Precise Input Devices, High Connectivity

The SCHENKER DOCK 15 convinces in permanent productive use with a bright, high-contrast Full HD display with IPS panel. Its characteristic includes not only an intensive colour representation, but also a high sRGB colour space coverage.

For input, users can use a precision Microsoft Precision touchpad, a durable keyboard with a separate numeric keypad, standard-size arrow keys, and a multi-level, adjustable white LED backlight.

Internally, the SCHENKER DOCK 15 accommodates one M.2SSD connected via PCI Express, one 2.5-inch drive and up to 64 GB RAM. As one of the few current laptops, it also integrates a 5.25-inch slot for a DVD or BluRay burner, which optionally also allows the mounting of a mounting frame for an additional 2.5-inch storage medium.

Externally it offers two USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port, Thunderbolt 3 via USB-C 3.1 Gen2, Gigabit-LAN, HDMI (with HDCP) and a Mini DisplayPort as well as an RJ45 port with Gigabit Ethernet connection. A smartcard reader, which is particularly needed in a professional environment, is also integrated at the factory; Schenker Technologies offers an LTE modem as an optional accessory. On the side of the audio connectors there is an audio output, which also functions as an S/PDIF connector, as well as a separate microphone input.

Optional Docking Station and Battery Upgrade Option

Even in its standard configuration, the SCHENKER DOCK 15 uses a 62 Wh 6-cell battery. This is plugged in and thus easily exchangeable against a second copy. An alternative 9-cell model with a capacity of 93 Wh is also available as an option.

The DS200 docking station available as an accessory, which is connected to the laptop via a docking port, ensures optimum connection to a stationary workstation. In addition to its own 90 watt power supply for the power supply of the SCHENKER DOCK 15, the expansion scores with a respectable variety of interfaces. Connectors include four USB 3.0 and three USB 2.0 ports, a headphone jack and microphone input, a coaxial S/PDIF port, and VGA, DVI, and HDMI interfaces. A special feature of the DS200 is the integrated 2.5-inch drive slot, which allows the connection of an additional hard disk or SSD in stationary laptop operation. In addition, the docking station is equipped with an RJ45 network connection and a COM port.

Prices and Availability

The free configurable SCHENKER DOCK 15 at is now available at a price of 849 Euro for the basic equipment (Intel Pentium Gold G5500T, 8 GB DDR4-RAM, 250 GB Samsung SSD 860 EVO M.2). The purchase of an additional DS200 docking station costs an additional 129 euros. All SCHENKER laptops purchased via the new e-commerce platform come with a 36-month factory warranty.
