The total revenue for the month has been record-breaking, showcasing just how well the Jersey Shore area is performing. Of course, this is a major win for the state, with these funds benefiting the economy in more ways than one.
One large driving factor in this revenue boost, specifically within the iGaming sector, is the emerging payment innovations. More and more casino operators are leaning into modernized transaction models focused on making the process simple, fast, and secure. Digital wallets and bank transfers make this possible, ensuring iGaming is now more convenient than it ever was. With sports betting, the overall revenue for October 2025 increased by 49.8% compared to last year. In total, this sector made $116.1 million, with a good majority of it coming from online sportsbooks and other online platforms. A huge part of this can be attributed to the huge buzz around major sports tournaments, specifically fall sports such as football. For New Jersey, these are significant numbers that can go back into state programs such as the Casino Revenue Fund and other public-facing amenities and facilities.
This significant gambling revenue had three core pillars: iGaming, sports betting, and physical casinos. With only a limited number of states allowing for the legalization of all three of these pillars, it is no wonder NJ has established itself as an industry leader.
