Attention: feet up! – The best gaming chairs with footrest

What is the saying? After the work is done, it’s good to rest. So what must not be neglected after an extensive gaming session or the stressful office routine? Exactly: relaxation. After we have already reported on gaming chairs with massage function, of course the best gaming chairs with footrest must not be missing in this series. Thereby, our recommendations include gaming chairs with built-in or separate footrest.

More than just ergonomic design

For a long time, it was the case that well-known manufacturers of conventional office chairs paid attention to two things in particular: An ergonomic design and a stable stand. Of course, these features also form the basis for a good gaming chair, but with the difference that the seat is aimed at a sporty design. Meanwhile, however, a well-designed office or gaming chair is much more than just the epitome of healthy seating.

Many models offer features and gadgets that weren’t even on the tapet a few years ago, such as a fixed and adjustable lumbar support like in the Backforce One Plus or LED lighting elements like in the ASUS ROG Chariot SL300C RGB. Of course, in addition to advanced ergonomic features and attention to detail, comfort should not be neglected. That’s the reason for gaming chairs with footrests – fixed or separate.

Ergonomics or relaxation?

In fact, an OR is simply unacceptable at this point, because ergonomic features should be firmly interwoven with the attributes of relaxation. That is, if the chair does not meet a few specific criteria, you can also safely do without a footrest. So that you are not in the dark, we have summarized the most important criteria. This is what you should look for when buying a gaming chair:

  1. It is and remains the most important: the ergonomic design. The coolest gaming chair does you no good if you already have terrible back pain during or at the latest after an extensive session and related other accompanying symptoms. In the worst case, this can even develop into long-term health consequences.
  2. Naturally, the product quality and a high-quality material mix is also a criterion that should not be neglected in any case. Make sure that star cross, cover and Co. are designed for durability. After all, you want to have something from your new gaming chair for a long time.
  3. In addition to the other points, the upholstery should not be forgotten. If you choose a model in which the manufacturer processes, for example, inferior cold foam, you will relatively quickly have to take a seat on a hard surface.

To return once again to point 1: Especially with a gaming chair with footrest, you should make sure that it can be seamlessly adjusted to the height of the chair. The keyword here is height and tilt adjustability. As a rule, however, this only applies to models where you can purchase the footrest separately.

Of course, these are not even a handful of criteria you should look for when buying a comfortable gaming chair. However, this should be sufficient as a guideline. As always, the lower the budget, the more you will probably have to compromise on quality. Nevertheless, we have made sure to get the maximum quality out of every price category in our recommendations. So, clear the stage for the best gaming chairs with footrest.

1. noblechairs Premium Gaming Chairs

The gaming chairs from noblechairs (MSRP €379.90 – €669.90) do not in and of themselves have a permanently integrated footrest to extend or fold out. However, there is the noblechairs footrest in imitation leather (RRP 139.90 €) as well as the slightly more expensive variant with genuine leather cover (RRP 199.90 €) in the online store of the manufacturer as an accessory to buy. The support itself functions as a small stool, which is tilt-adjustable. The only drawback: No rubber studs are included for the arms of the plastic cross, so the stool can easily slip off in certain positions, especially on slippery floors. Nevertheless, the user feedback is generally very positive. Currently, the separate footrest is only available in black and in one size. However, the feature for extra relaxation fits every noblechairs model both optically and technically. All of the manufacturer’s gaming chairs are equipped with 4D armrests and a class 4 gas pressure spring, so they can confidently support an additional weight of 120 kg. According to the manufacturer, the ICON series can even support up to 150 kg.

Corner data on the noblechairs premium gaming chairs:

  • separate footrest available in one color and size (black), adjustable tilt angle up to 57°
  • available in 3 different models (EPIC / HERO / ICON)
  • Available in different colors + special editions
  • Dimensions of the seat depending on model
  • Tilt angle of the backrest adjustable from 120° to 135°
  • Loads up to 120 or 150 kg / class 4 gas spring

2. Gamechanger Gaming Chairs

Even the biggest individualist in the premium gaming chair segment Gamechanger has a separate footrest in its range. Granted, the little stool isn’t quite as customizable as the gaming chairs, but there are some options that make the footrest from Gamechanger (MSRP starting at €298.00) special. So you have the option to express your color preferences by mail to the Gamechanger team. In addition, you can choose between three different cover qualities, an aluminum star cross in black or silver and opt for either gliders or casters. In addition, the footrest can be continuously adjusted in height via gas pressure spring and the angle of inclination can also be adjusted. Since the footrest is designed for a weight of up to 125 kg, it is also perfectly suitable as a stool. No matter with which gaming chair model from Gamechanger you combine the footrest, it simply fits.

Corner data on the Gamechanger gaming chairs:

  • separate footrest available in many different colors and one size, also available in different finishes (cover, star cross, casters)
  • available in different finishes
  • Dimensions of the seat surface depending on the model
  • Tilt angle of the backrest can be fixed in 5 positions
  • Loads up to a maximum of 200 kg – depending on the model / gas spring class 4 or 4

3. GTRacing Footrest Series

GTRacing takes the standards of Footrest gaming chairs (MSRP starting at €199.99) to a whole new level. In addition to the built-in footrest, which can be folded out and in again in no time, GTRacing offers various fancy gadgets for its gaming chair collections. For example, there’s the MUSIC series (MSRP starting at €219.99), which has additional Bluetooth headphones on board, or the PROFI series (MSRP starting at €159.99), which comes with a USB massage lumbar cushion instead. The chairs come in different sizes and each in at least two colors; but often more. The adjustment options for the angle of the backrest vary from series to series, but at least 150° is infinitely variable. Together with the extendable footrest, with which almost every model is equipped, you can thus relax while streaming after you have successfully looped your Raid. The Class 4 gas strut allows for a maximum load of 130 kg, and the armrests also vary from 1D to 3D.

4. Songmics Gaming Chair Collection

Songmics OBG77

Songmics is not, in the broadest sense, a manufacturer that specializes exclusively in computer and gaming accessories. Rather, the manufacturer offers a wide range of household products that are sold in the online store on its own website. Nevertheless, there is a separate section for gaming chairs and, among other things, even two models with footrests: the Songmics OBG77 (RRP €145.99) and the Songmics RCG52 (RRP €151.99). While the first model is visually very reminiscent of an executive chair, it clearly makes up for this look with its high-quality material processing and upholstery made of dimensionally stable foam. Only the 1D armrests put a slight damper on the whole thing. In contrast, the RCG52 features 2D armrests and is covered in breathable faux leather and mesh fabric. A Class 4 gas spring has been installed in both models, which can defy a maximum load of 150 kg, according to the manufacturer. Both chairs are each available in three colors and can be continuously adjusted to a tilt angle of up to 135°. So along with the fold-out footrest, you can relax with confidence and maybe watch a video when your teammate is AFK for too long again.

Corner data of the Songmics Gaming Chair Collection:

  • With fixed integrated footrest
  • available in 2 models (OBG77 / RCG52)
  • Available in 3 colors each
  • Dimensions of the seat depending on model
  • Tilt angle of the backrest adjustable up to 135°
  • Loads up to 150 kg / Class 4 gas spring
  • Act-in-chain to 2D armrests

5. AutoFull Conquer Series

AutoFull Conquer-Series

The Footrest gaming chair from AutoFull is priced in the mid-range and primarily advertises sponsorships for well-known Esports teams like WCA, LPL and MDI. The AutoFull Conquer Series (MSRP €219.99) offers a gaming chair in a racing seat design, complete with a retractable footrest in five different colors. The cover is made of 2.0 PU synthetic leather, which the company says is about four times more durable than conventional imitation leather. The Conquer Series comes with freely positionable neck and lumbar cushions and was designed with a Class 4 gas lift. Additionally, the gaming chair comes with the “Bionic Lumbar Support,” which is similar to the Razer Iskur, providing a stable and ergonomic shape to the backrest. Speaking of the backrest, it is infinitely adjustable up to 170° and, together with the extendable footrest, offers you an optimal resting place after a strenuous match.

6. IntimaTe World Cup Gaming Chair

IntimaTe World Cup Gaming Chair

The World Cup Gaming Chair from IntimaTe (MSRP €159.99) is more of an underdog in our recommended lineup, as it’s the only budget model that comes with a breathable fabric cover. The firmly integrated footrest, which you can easily extend and retract, is also covered with the same material and, according to the manufacturer, is about as soft as a bed made of springs. Currently, the gaming chair is only available in one color (gray) and the armrests can only be adjusted up and down (1D). Nevertheless, the gaming chair is equipped with a class 4 gas spring and remains absolutely stable up to 125 kg, according to the product features. The tilt angle of the backrest is also adjustable up to an angle of 135°.

Corner data on the IntimaTe World Cup Gaming Chair:

  • With fixed integrated footrest
  • available in 1 color (fabric gray)
  • Seating surface 560 mm x 450 mm (W/D)
  • Tilt angle of the backrest adjustable up to 135°
  • loadable up to 125 kg / class 4 gas spring
  • 1D armrests

7. Kirogi Gaming Chair

Kirogi Gaming Chair

After all, the previous models were all rather lanky or designed for smaller people. The Gaming Chair from Kirogi (MSRP €189.99) is a completely different caliber. With a sturdy frame made of a carbon steel composite and a Class 4 gas spring with SDS certification, the chair is capable of supporting loads of up to 200 kg. Moreover, the dimensions of the seat are extra wide and deep, so you too can feel like the boss in the ring. The maximum tilt angle of the backrest is 180°. So, together with the retractable foot cushion, you can also use the chair wonderfully as a little place for afternoon napping. Accordingly, the 1D armrests are probably the only shortcoming we have with this gentle giant. Currently, the chair is available for purchase in three colors at various online stores.

Corner data on the Kirogi Gaming Chair:

  • With a fixed integrated footrest
  • available in 3 colors
  • Seating surface 550 mm x 500 mm (W/D)
  • Tilt angle of the backrest adjustable up to 180°
  • Loads up to 200 kg / Class 4 gas spring
  • 1D armrests

8. Fantasylab Gaming Chair

Fantasylab Gaming Chair

The Gaming Chair with Footrest from Fantasylab (MSRP €127.99) is arguably the bird of paradise among the chairs presented here so far. Features a cover made of high-quality PU leather, there is the gaming chair in a total of 4 colors to buy. The pink and white variant should probably also appeal to the female gamers among you (of course, we have also already written a post about this: The Best Gaming Chairs for Women: Stereotype, Ahoy?). A special gadget is the massage function of the included lumbar cushion. To use it, all you have to do is connect it to a power source via USB connection. Together with the backrest that can be tilted up to 135° and the cozy footrest, lounging can also start. The chair is equipped with a class 4 gas spring and can support an additional weight of up to 130 kg, according to the manufacturer.

Corner data of the Fantasylab Gaming Chair:

  • With fixed integrated footrest
  • available in 4 colors
  • Seating surface 460 mm x 480 mm (W/D)
  • Tilt angle of the backrest adjustable up to 135°
  • Loads up to 130 kg / Class 4 gas spring
  • 4D armrests
  • with massage function (USB)

9. Dowinx Gaming Chair Collection

Dowinx Type 88 Gaming Chair

Dowinx scores not only in terms of quality, but also in diversity, because the manufacturer doesn’t just have one or two chairs up its sleeve that are equipped with a footrest, but entire series (e.g. Dowinx Type 88 Gaming Chair, MSRP from €189.99). The differences of the respective models are roughly summarized, limited only to the type of cover or the additional gadgets. Whether you want PU leather, fabric or a mixture of both, Dowinx offers a lot. The same goes for the colors: whether it’s pure black, gray or something a little brighter, there’s a wide variety. All models are equipped with a class 4 gas spring and can therefore support at least 150 kg. The backrest can be tilted to an angle of at least 170°, in some cases even 180°. The only shortcoming here is also the armrests, which only operate the Act-in-Chain or 1D pattern, depending on the model. In addition, some models are equipped with a USB massage lumbar cushion.

Corner data on the Dowinx Gaming Chair Collection:

  • With fixed integrated footrest
  • various models available
  • available in many different colors
  • Dimensions of the seat depending on the model
  • Tilt angle of the backrest adjustable up to 170°
  • Loadable up to at least 150 kg / Class 4 gas spring
  • Act-in-chain to 1D armrests
  • Lumbar cushions partially with USB massage function

10. KCream Gaming Chair

KCream Gaming-Chair

Last but not least, the KCream Gaming-Chair (MSRP €155.99) is also affordable for the small budget. The gaming chair and the accompanying footrest are covered with sturdy PU leather. The tilt angle of the backrest can be adjusted up to 155° and, together with the footrest cushion, provides a first-class recharge after a demanding boss fight. The class 4 gas pressure spring also provides the necessary load capacity of a maximum of 135 kg. As with many other models, the 2D armrests don’t necessarily seem to be the manufacturer’s focus. Nevertheless, the presented dimensions are perfectly sufficient to either shine on the battlefield or during a difficult quest, or to simply switch off for a while. Currently, the gaming chair is available in four colors.

Specifications of the KCream Gaming Chair:

  • With fixed integrated footrest
  • available in 4 colors
  • Seating surface 385 mm x 520 mm (W/D)
  • Tilt angle of the backrest adjustable up to 155°
  • Loads up to 135 kg / class 4 gas spring
  • 2D armrests

Footrest at the gaming chair: top or flop?

The footrest at the gaming chair is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea. Many may find it rather annoying, while others are happy about this gadget. In the end, it all depends on your personal preferences. However, after this compilation of the best and most original gaming chairs with footrests, we would argue that the benefits often outweigh the obstacles after all – or how do you see it? Are footrests, whether in the form of a dedicated stool or mounted directly to the chair more top or flop?
