Ducky One 3 keyboard officially unveiled
Keyboards from the Ducky One series are among the most popular devices among ambitious gamers and writers looking for a slightly different design. Now, together with Caseking, the manufacturer has unveiled the new edition Ducky One 3, which once again focuses on the QUACK Mechanics design philosophy.
The third version also wants to offer an excellent typing feel and therefore relies on four cornerstones. High-quality PBT keycaps, a stable construction with balanced weight distribution, an appealing sound when typing due to damping materials and the tuning of the stabilizers.
Add to that a huge selection of high-quality Cherry MX switches, including the exclusive Cherry RGB Clear. The Kailh sockets allow for flexible switch replacement without the need for soldering irons or additional tools.
The Ducky One 3 is offered in four different sizes: Mini (60%), SF (65%), TKL (80%) or full-size form factor (100%). There are also four color options to choose from. Daybreak, Matcha, Pink and Yellow.
Ducky One 3 combines high-quality workmanship with strong technology
In the new keyboard, the manufacturer focuses on four factors that are crucial for an excellent typing experience. The keycaps, the case, the sound and the stabilizers. The semi-crystalline plastic of the PBT keycaps is particularly popular with keyboard modders because it is resistant to abrasion.
Ducky molds the keycaps from two layers of plastic, so the key lettering is always easy to read. The keycaps do not develop the shine common to other plastics, which is caused by intensive use. As a result, the keyboard looks like new for a long time.
The newly developed case of the Ducky One 3 is flatter than that of its predecessors and, in conjunction with the three-step feet, relieves the strain on the wrist. To improve the sound and typing feel, Ducky tested a total of 17 different rubber compounds and selected the most suitable variant for the Q-Bounce pad. This is combined with an additional foam layer of EVA to effectively dampen resonance during typing and hard keystrokes.
