Elon Musk allegedly sexually harassed flight attendant

Hardly a week goes by without headlines about Elon Musk. Even the sad spectacle surrounding the purchase of Twitter is fading into the background. A flight attendant is making serious accusations against the dazzling tech billionaire. According to her, the Tesla CEO is said to have sexually harassed her. So that the injured party does not hang the incident on the big bell, Musk paid her a quarter of a million US dollars in hush money – at company expense, mind you.

Elon Musk sees himself as a victim

The exact incident outlined a friend of the flight attendant concerned in the context of an interview with the magazine “Business Insider”. Here she could explain under presentation of appropriate proofs, in what respect the damaged one became a victim of a sexual harassment. The incident allegedly took place six years ago. Musk, the alleged perpetrator, allegedly exposed himself to the flight attendant and asked her for sex in return for payment of a certain sum. After she refused the Tesla CEO’s request, he was most likely afraid of a story that would damage his reputation. Accordingly, he had the flight attendant paid a generous hush money of 250,000 US dollars. The money did not come from his own pocket, however, but from the company capital of his company SpaceX, which among other things offers its in-house satellite Internet “Starlink”.

After the accusations were made, the tech billionaire was clearly incensed. From his point of view, the “wild accusations” are simply “untrue”. But not only that. In the same breath, he maneuvers himself into a victim role that is unparalleled. In his opinion, it is most likely a political campaign against him. He suspects that the reason is his recent statements about the Democratic Party in the United States. Since he is anything but satisfied with their policies, he has emphasized that he will vote Republican in the next election. But the Tesla boss obviously didn’t think far enough with this excuse. After all, the interview with the woman took place long before Musk’s questionable statements. So there can be no real connection here.

A horse for sexual services

The facts of the case seem clear. The flight attendant is said to have always played a questionable role on the flights of the Tesla boss anyway. While the typical job description is more like someone who brings drinks or snacks, a stewardess seems to have to offer something more in Elon Musk’s view. For example, the injured party was considered a real massage expert, which she also had to prove regularly on flights. This was also the case on the day of the incident. Here Musk is to have asked the woman again for a full body massage. Obviously, this was not enough for him on this day. So he dropped his towel wrapped around his waist and asked the woman for sexual services. In return, he promised the woman, who was known to be a big horse fan, to buy her a horse. However, the woman did not comply with the request.

Agrieved woman rightly snubbed

After the said incident, the victim showed shock. But as if the sexual harassment had not been bad enough, the woman also had to feel professional consequences, according to her friend. SpaceX reduced her shifts, among other things. The victim interpreted this as revenge for not being compliant. After she complained internally about the consequences of the incident and the incident itself, the company was cooperative. Eventually, SpaceX paid her a hush money of a quarter of a million euros as a result. The corresponding agreement between the space company and the flight attendant probably states that she is not allowed to talk badly about SpaceX itself, nor about the company’s CEO Elon Musk.

In doing so, SpaceX and Elon Musk in particular are guilty of yet another crime themselves. After all, corresponding silences are prohibited when it comes to sensitive criminal offenses such as sexual harassment. After the allegations were made public, Elon Musk was forced to make a statement. However, he did not use the offer of Business Insider, which in turn conducted the interview with the girlfriend of the injured party. Instead, he expressed himself, how could it be otherwise, on Twitter. On the short message service, he clarified that it would obviously be a political campaign against him. The goal was to prevent him from buying Twitter. Whether there is any truth to this is highly doubtful.
