Foxtron Model C: E-SUV goes into series production

Foxconn is primarily known in the western hemisphere as a supplier to smartphone giant Apple. However, the Taiwan-based company is now also involved in the electric car sector. It is starting with the Foxtron Model C, of which Foxconn plans to deliver 10,000 units this year. And the second model is due to be launched next year.

Foxtron Model C wants to conquer the roads

The surprise was great when Foxconn announced in 2021 that it would also be producing electric cars from now on. During the presentation at the time, the company referred to an upcoming electric bus, as well as an electric SUV and electric saloon. Production of electric motors and the T Model – a fully electric bus – began the following year.

Success in electromobility is slowly but surely rolling in for Foxconn. Four months after the market launch of the Foxtron Model C, the company has already delivered almost 2,000 models. And that is just the beginning. Foxconn has set itself the target of delivering over 10,000 Model C vehicles by 2024. The product range is also set to expand.

According to the official announcement, the company is planning another e-SUV, the Foxtron Model B, which will be significantly more compact. Series production of the new addition is set to start in 2025. The technical details of the Model C show that Foxconn has apparently not promised too much. It scores points with acceleration from 0 to 100 in just 3.8 seconds.

Foxconn also promises a range of 700 km on a full charge. What sounds so sporty looks like a classic family van at first glance. After all, the vehicle can accommodate up to seven people. However, it remains to be seen whether the Foxtron Model C will also conquer the market in Taiwan. After all, Tesla is currently still considered the king of the industry here.

Model B should become even sportier

In view of the more compact dimensions, we can probably assume that the Foxtron Model B will be able to boast even sportier figures. However, this is only speculation based on the expected lower weight of the compact E-SUV. Unfortunately, Foxconn has not yet commented on the technical data.
