Roidmi EVA: New vacuum robot launches on Indiegogo

First unveiled about a month ago, the Roidmi EVA vacuum robot has launched its campaign on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. Thus, the robot is not only able to vacuum, but also has a wiping function. The collection bin is also conveniently cleaned independently.

Roidmi EVA: Indiegogo campaign has started

In addition to the EVE, the manufacturer is now offering a new model, the Roidmi EVA. The 2-in-1 vacuuming and mopping robot scores with innovative functions and leaves hardly anything to be desired from a smart household helper.

The robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with two rotating mop pads, which are automatically cleaned and dried in the base station provided. At the same time, the four-liter water tank is also filled in the station when the wiping function is used, and the dirt container is emptied when vacuuming.

In the extra large dirt tank in the station is enough space for the dust and dirt of 60 days. In addition, the tank is equipped with antibacterial bags that retain 99.9 percent of all bacteria. Thanks to dual-tank system, dirty and clean water are kept separately.

Thanks to a suction power of 3200 Pa, the Roidmi EVA can easily handle even intense dirt, picking up dirt, dust and pet hair with ease.

360-degree navigation and smart home support

For navigation, the Roidmi EVA relies on an omnidirectional LDS navigation system with a 360-degree range. This reliably detects obstacles, pets and people. At the same time, navigation in complete darkness is also possible.

In addition, the EVA is compatible with the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants. This means that a cleaning process can be conveniently started or paused by voice command. A color LED indicator on the base station informs, for example, that the bins or tanks are full, the battery is running low, or the Roidmi EVA is currently in mopping mode and the floor could therefore be damp.

In the companion app, among other things, a map of the apartment, as well as the individual rooms can be created and optionally adjusted automatically or manually, for example, to specify areas that should not be cleaned or should be cleaned particularly intensively.

Price and availability

The Roidmi EVA vacuuming and mopping robot is available to order now on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. It starts at a price of 749 US dollars (equivalent to around 664 euros) as an early-bird discount. The manufacturer’s RRP is 799 US dollars (708 euros). Delivery is then scheduled for March 2022.
