This already starts with the weight of the cooler. This shrinks from 730 grams to 683 grams.

But also the installation of the Shadow Rock Slim should be easier in version 2. The reason for this is said to be the improved mounting kit. On top of that, be quiet! promises a higher performance of the fan. In view of the constant maximum volume of 23.7 decibels, this is really commendable. Another innovation can be found directly in the scope of delivery. Here, the manufacturer includes additional wire brackets. These are supposed to make it possible to clamp on another fan.

Apart from the small, but fine changes in the new edition, be quiet! retains the main specs of the Shadow Rock Slim. Thus, the cooler still measures 74 mm x 137 mm x 161 mm and has a total of four heatpipes. In keeping with its name, the single-tower cooler should therefore take up very little space.

This will please friends of large heatsinks. Some may find the few innovations a bit lazy on the part of be quiet! in light of a seven-year wait. We, on the other hand, think that it is better to keep good things than to “make a product worse”.
