Tesla lowers prices in Germany again

Tesla has lowered the prices for its electric vehicles in numerous European countries. Now such a price adjustment is also being made in Germany – for the umpteenth time within a relatively short period of time.

Price cuts of up to 10,000 euros

The price reductions made by Tesla are thereby – if the government share of the environmental bonus is included – considerable. For the X and S models, all variants will be 10,000 euros cheaper each. Significant savings are thus possible here. The price of the entry-level Model 3 has also been reduced and is now available for 38,470 euros with the environmental bonus. Equipped with maximum range, the Model 3 now costs 47,470 euros. Anyone who has been thinking about buying a Tesla for some time now will find particularly favorable conditions for doing so. In addition to the Model 3, S and X, the performance version of the Model Y has also been reduced in price. It now costs 57,470 euros.

No restrictions

Tesla has stated that it does not want to cut back on the quality of the vehicles despite the price cuts. Thus, interested parties do not have to expect a limited range of functions. They will have full access to the Tesla ecosystem including Tesla app, updates, Supercharge network or mobile service even at the reduced prices.

On Tesla’s website, all prices are currently listed without deducting the government’s share of the environmental bonus. Therefore, they are higher than mentioned in this article. To qualify for the full reduction, the government e-car subsidy must be applied for.

Tesla’s prices were last reduced as recently as January. At the time, Tesla justified it with optimizations in the production process that would lower manufacturing costs. In fact, however, the price pressure resulting from increasing competition is also likely to have played a role.
