Xtrfy M4 RGB Wireless: Modular, lightweight gaming mouse now also wireless

The manufacturer announced the Xtrfy M4 RGB Wireless, a wireless re-release of the popular gaming mouse that combines the strengths of the original with the freedom of wireless connectivity.

Xtrfy M4 RGB Wireless: Lightweight, Modular Design

The ultra-lightweight Xtrfy M4 RGB gaming mouse still enjoys enormous popularity today, despite its upscale age. In our review from 2019, the rodent cleared the Platinum Award. With the wireless new edition, manufacturer Xtrfy sticks to its strengths and cuts the cable without further ado.

Thus, the Xtrfy M4 RGB Wireless also has an enormously low weight and weighs just 71 grams – despite the battery. The weight distribution can also be shifted within the gaming mouse to make the right-handed nager heavier at the front or back. And all this without having to install additional weights.

The battery of the Xtrfy M4 RGB Wireless is said to last up to 75 hours, depending on the mouse resolution and RGB lighting. Thanks to the 1.8-meter Xtrfy EZcord Pro cable (USB Type-C to USB Type-A), the mouse can still be used while charging. Radio is via 2.4 GHz wireless network, while a USB dongle is used to connect to the PC or notebook.

Special Features of the Xtrfy M4 RGB Wireless

In terms of specifications, the Xtrfy M4 RGB Wireless should also satisfy the upscale demands of all gamers. The built-in Pixart 3370 sensor offers a maximum resolution of 19,000 CPI, a polling rate of 1,000 Hz and 400 IPS mouse speed at 50G acceleration.

The main buttons use extra precise and durable Kailh GM 8.0 switches that are said to withstand 80 million clicks. In total, the mouse has eight buttons and is aimed at right-handed users in terms of ergonomics.

On the bottom of the M4 RGB Wireless is a new type of switch that can be used to adjust the function of the centrally placed button on the top. This allows you to customize the resolution, polling rate, lift-off distance or RGB lighting with just one click. On the “PGDN” setting, the button can be linked to all other inputs.

Thanks to the exchangeable, perforated mouse back, the shape of the Xtrfy M4 RGB Wireless can also be customized. In addition to the classic design, there is also a variant to choose from that should appeal to users of the Palm grip in particular.

The gaming mouse also shows itself to be very colorful and is offered by the manufacturer in a total of nine color variants. From classic black and white to pink, blue and green.

Price and Availability

The Xtrfy M4 RGB Wireless is expected to be available from mid-December 2021 in the manufacturer’s store and can already be pre-ordered. The MSRP is $99.00.
