AceMagic M2A Starship: New gaming mini PC focuses on sci-fi design

Manufacturer AceMagic has teased a new gaming mini PC. The AceMagic M2A Starship is said to be the “world’s first AAA sci-fi gaming mini PC” and features a futuristic design with powerful cooling and display.

The manufacturer AceMagic has already proven in the past that it likes to break new ground when it comes to design, for example with the S1 Mini-PC (our test). With the AceMagic M2A Starship, however, a new gaming-ready mini PC has now been announced that comes in a futuristic spaceship design. At least that’s what the teaser website, which hasn’t yet revealed many details, suggests.

In any case, the cooling system should be able to cope with demanding tasks. Four fans with seven heat pipes are used to dissipate the heat and maintain performance over the long term. The M2A Starship has a slim and streamlined design with two blades.

This means that the mini PC is slightly raised by the wings, which benefits the cooling. Fresh and cool air is drawn in from below and blown out of the device from above after cooling. Whether the Wi-Fi antennas can also be found in the wings is also still unclear.

“Placed on the desk, it immediately transforms into a tool for elite gamers,” promises the manufacturer, which gives hope for a powerful CPU and GPU configuration including a dedicated graphics card. However, details on the hardware installed are not yet available.

At the front, the gaming mini PC features a display that allows real-time monitoring of the GPU and CPU, power consumption, frequencies, fans and memory. The triangular power button placed above it with the inscriptions “Super Accelaration” and “E-Sports Experience” also gives hope for convincing performance.

Price and availability

When the AceMagic M2A Starship will be released is currently just as unclear as the price of the mini PC. However, an unveiling is likely to take place shortly. Those who register on the teaser website can already secure a discount of up to 40 percent on the retail price.
