The manufacturer Geekom is one of the best-known names in the field of mini-PCs, which have gained a lot of popularity in the past few years due to their compact dimensions and low energy consumption. Now they are teaming up with ASUS and launching the new Geekom AS 6 model series, which features an AMD Ryzen 9 6900 HX processor at the top.
The Geekom AS 6 series in detail
Geekom and ASUS are jointly launching the Geekom AS 6 mini PC series. However, concrete details about the launch date are not yet available. However, there are details about the configuration, which is impressive – not only for a mini-PC.
Two processors based on AMD’s Ryzen 6000H series are available. Besides the Ryzen 7 6800H, there is even the Ryzen 9 6900HX to choose from, which has eight cores and 16 threads and clocks with 4,900 MHz at its peak.
The integrated GPU AMD Radeon Graphics 680M displays the image on up to four displays that can resolve with up to 4K UHD. The hardware is supported by up to 32 gigabytes of fast DDR5-4800 RAM, while up to 2 terabytes of M.2-2280 PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD is available for internal storage.
In terms of connectivity, the Geekom AS 6 also leaves little to be desired and comes with the latest Wi-Fi 6E, while peripherals can be connected via Bluetooth 5.2. There are many USB-A, USB4-Type-C, two HDMI, DisplayPort and even a 2.5G LAN port available.
Windows 11 Pro 64 bit is already preinstalled as the operating system. By means of adapters and attachments, the mini-PC can also be mounted in the VESA standard, for example on the wall or the back of a monitor.

Intel alternative in the form of the NUC 13 Arena Canyon
Those who prefer Intel instead of AMD will also find what they are looking for at Geekom. With the Geekom NUC 13 Arena Canyon, they offer an almost identical model, which, however, relies on the Core i7-1360P on the CPU side.
If desired, up to 64 GB of working memory can be installed. Additionally, there is Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and a modern HDMI 2.1 port.
Prices and Availability
The AMD-based mini-PC in the form of the Geekom AS 6 is expected to be priced between $799 and $899. For the Intel model in the form of the Geekom NUC 13 Arena Canyon, the manufacturer calls for between $999 and $1,299, depending on the configuration. Geekom has not yet communicated concrete availabilities for both mini-PCs.
