Acer refreshes its business notebook series of the TravelMate series. With the Acer TravelMate novelties P4, Spin P4 and P2, you can expect some new models. We have summarized all information from the “next@acer” event here.
Acer TravelMate novelties: P4 and Spin P4
Larger touchpads, a quieter keyboard and a rugged design are the focus of Acer’s new TravelMate notebooks for the 2022 model year, starting with the Acer TravelMate P4 and the convertible TravelMate Spin P4.
They are both offered in a choice of 14-inch (35.65 cm) or 16-inch (40.64 cm) sizes and are available with either 12th-generation Intel Core i7 vPro processors or AMD Ryzen 7 PRO processors. 86 percent of the body of the notebooks is taken up by the WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) IPS Narrow-Bezel display, which has an aspect ratio of 16:10.
Interesting for business users: All P4 models are fit for video conferencing. They rely on AI-controlled microphones for noise reduction, four upward-facing speakers and have integrated DTS audio.
The TravelMate Spin P4, as a convertible, also features an anti-glare display that rotates 360 degrees and can be used in laptop, stand, tent or tablet mode.
Rugged Construction, Safe Use
The Acer TravelMate P4 and TravelMate Spin P4 are also particularly robust and also feature a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad in the case of the Spin P4. Furthermore, an AES 1.0 pen is supported to conveniently make handwritten notes. The eco-friendly notebooks are made of 37.7 percent PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic and the packaging material is even 100 percent recycled.
Coupled with AMD Ryzen PRO processors, the notebooks also rely on integrated Pluton hardware security, ensuring system integrity for Windows 11 devices with continuous protection for identity, data and applications.
Acer TravelMate P2 in two sizes
The second business notebook, namely the Acer TravelMate P2, also comes in 14- and 15.6-inch models. It is equipped with the latest Intel Core i7 vPro processors of the 12th generation and is particularly sustainable.
For example, the entire case here is made of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic. The OceanGlass touchpad is also made from recycled ocean plastic, while a UV texture layer gives it a glass-like feel.
Prices and Availability
All new Acer TravelMate business notebooks are expected to make their way to retailers no later than September 2022. However, the Acer TravelMate Spin P4 and the P4 models with AMD CPU are expected to launch a month earlier, in August 2022. In terms of pricing, the manufacturer sets the MSRP as follows:
