MWC 2024: Will Lenovo bring a laptop with a transparent display?

The Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona is just around the corner. At the end of February, we will once again be able to admire a number of upcoming technology highlights. Lenovo will of course also be there. If the currently bubbling rumor mill is to be believed, the hardware expert is currently working on a new type of display with a transparent design. This is to be used in a new laptop from the manufacturer.

Lenovo with an innovative notebook

Currently, new rumors about the upcoming tech presentations at this year’s MWC are coming in day after day. Yesterday, for example, it was rumored that Xiaomi will not only present its latest flagship smartphone in the form of the Xiaomi 14. What’s more, a teaser image from the Chinese technology company has led to speculation that we may be seeing the presentation of an upcoming electric car. But the other manufacturers are not sleeping either. As has now been leaked, Lenovo also has exciting things to announce.

Will the classic Lenovo notebooks perhaps soon have a transparent display across the board?

Among other things, the company would like to introduce a notebook with a transparent display and lid. The tech blog Windows Report claims to have learned this in advance. The website has been sent images of the upcoming laptop. However, the images are apparently the only information that Windows Report claims to have received regarding the laptop. However, there were no details on the technology of the transparent display or other technical data.

Second display on the keyboard?

If the lid is transparent, you will inevitably see the keyboard of the device when you look at the top of the notebook. This may be a cool design, but this fact also allows conclusions to be drawn about another feature of the keyboard. After all, it looks as glassy as a display. So is this perhaps a second display? This would not really be surprising, as Lenovo has already used display keyboards on previous premium notebooks. In addition to the partially transparent notebook, Lenovo is also planning further innovations for MWC 2024, according to Windows Report. However, this will primarily involve updating existing notebook series. We are excited!
