AGON PRO AG274QXM – AOC presents monitor with mini LED

AGON by AOC has unveiled a new monitor: the AGON PRO AG274QXM. The AGON Pro series stands for high-end products for gamers and this monitor has that in it.

The 27-inch AG274QXM features an IPS panel with QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) that comes with a full 576 dimming zones via mini-LED backlighting. The bright backlight of up to 1000 nits enables a more even, but also more accurate illumination, so the monitor is certified with DisplayHDR 1000. At the same time, up to 1.07 billion colors can be displayed, which covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space.

Admittedly, the previous specifications do not yet speak for a gaming monitor, but could also make the monitor interesting for movie lovers. But AOC didn’t stop there, as the AGON PRO AG274QXM also offers a refresh rate of 170 Hz at 1 ms GtG. Of course, this includes G-SYNC compatibility so that images can be rendered without tearing.

The AGON PRO AG274QXM is height adjustable by 120 mm and can of course be tilted and rotated. There is also a 100×100 VESA mount available. Since the monitor is flat and supports pivot, it can also be used on edge, although few will probably do that with a monitor like this.

A 4-port USB 3.2 hub allows devices like mouse and keyboard to be connected directly to the monitor without having to run cables to the PC. Thanks to the integrated KVM switch, the peripherals can also be easily used on multiple PCs or even mobile devices.

Furthermore, RGB lighting is also integrated on the back with Light FX, and the AGON logo projection on the stand is of course not missing either. The lighting can be controlled via the QuickSwitch controller, a wired remote control that earlier models also had. But there are also buttons on the monitor itself. Another new feature is the G-Menu software, which makes it easier to adjust the settings.

Probably interesting for the few hardcore gamers, but two 5-watt speakers with DTS support are also integrated.

The AGON PRO AG274QXM is available now for 1049 euros MSRP and should still be available in October.
