Teufel presents new all-round in-ear headphones with the AIRY TWS. They are intended to be a multifunctional everyday companion that can be used in all conceivable situations. Their disadvantage: unlike most competing products in their price range, they do not have active noise cancellation.
Wireless headphones for every occasion
The AIRY TWS is advertised as a device that can be used anytime and anywhere, providing uncomplicated good sound. As purposes Teufel calls in a press release “movies, games, series, phone calls, video conferencing and of course music”. This basically covers all uses of a headphone – which sounds quite attractive. However, it is also clear that the all-round device will have disadvantages compared to specialized and often much more expensive devices that are optimized for a single area. However, this is not necessarily a disadvantage – the target groups simply differ. This is also made clear by the emphasis on suitability for everyday use in the advertising of the in-ear headphones.
Among the qualities highlighted are Bluetooth 5.0 with AAC for music streaming from all popular platforms, passive outdoor sound cancellation, IPX3 splash water protection, a hands-free speakerphone and touch controls on the earphones. Thus, the AIRY TWS offers high comfort in everyday life, but without being suitable for extreme or special situations. The fact that two microphones are found per earphone is interesting. This is supposed to ensure particularly good sound transmission when making calls. Teufel speaks in this regard of lip-synchronous sound transmission.
Improved sound and strong battery
As the successor to the AIRY True Wireless, the AIRY TWS is supposed to score with an improved sound. Long-throw Linear HD speakers are used for this purpose, which are supposed to provide kick bass, precise highs and warm mids. Teufel also talks about a wide stereo panorama as an advantage of the new AIRY TWS.
In addition, the in-ear headphones want to score points with their relatively strong battery. This allows a total playing time of up to six hours. With the charging case of the wireless headphones, the playing time increases to 26 hours. Only then does a power outlet have to be available to recharge the battery. The charging status of the case is always transparent thanks to three LEDs.
The features of the new in-ear headphones are rounded off by ear tips in various sizes. They not only ensure the ideal fit of the headphones, but thanks to the antibacterial silicone from which they are made, they also ensure that hygienic demands on the headphones are met.
