Amd Ryzen 9 3950x Will Be Released on November 25th

As AMD recently announced, the new Desktop flagship Ryzen 9 3950X, which was introduced in June, will be released around two months late from 25 November. In addition the favorable Athlon 3000G comes already on 19 November on the market.

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X as high-end flagship

The AMD Ryzen 9 3950X has 16 cores with a maximum clock frequency of 4.7 GHz. The Socket AM4 processor is delivered without cooler and should be operated according to AMD, if possible with an All-in-One water cooling, in order to be able to dissipate the waste heat reliably. In the USA the sales price for the market launch is 749 dollars.

To run the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X on older motherboards, a Bios update is required that supports AGESA 1.0.0.4. Otherwise, according to AMD, the performance and stability of the 16-core CPU cannot be guaranteed. Currently Bios versions with AGESA 1.0.0.4 are still in beta testing at all major motherboard manufacturers. The biggest changes in the new software version include better boost behavior, better performance with PCIe cards and general compatibility improvements. Due to the major changes, chipsets older than the X570 will also receive the update.

AMD Athlon 3000G processor for 49 dollars

Users with a small budget want to address AMD with the new Athlon 3000G. The processor, which costs only 49 dollars, has two cores and four threads as well as an integrated Vega-3 graphic. The meanwhile outdated Zen+ 12 nm production is used. The maximum clock frequency is 3.5 GHz.
