The Asus ROG Gladius III from last year gets an upgrade. The highlight of the specs is the new AimPoint sensor, which resolves at 36,000 DPI.
Asus ROG Gladius III Wireless AimPoint unveiled
The new Asus ROG Gladius III Wireless AimPoint takes over from last year’s 3 model as the changing of the guard and, like the Chakram X unveiled in May 2022, relies on the manufacturer’s new AimPoint sensor.
The weight of 79 grams remains the same compared to the Gladius III. In return, the speed increases to 650 IPS and the acceleration to 50G, in addition to the sensor’s resolution. A polling rate of 1,000 Hz is also offered.
The nager can be used wired or wirelessly. Here, the gaming mouse falls back on the fast ROG SpeedNova Wireless technology in the 2.4 GHz wireless network or also finds a connection to smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth.
Battery life and switch
In 2.4 GHz wireless mode, the Asus ROG Gladius III Wireless AimPoint is said to offer an impressive battery life of up to 119 hours. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not reveal how long the gaming mouse will last via Bluetooth.
The mechanical ROG Micro Switches are designed for a consistent click force and a lifespan of 70 million clicks. Thanks to the Push-Fit Switch Base-II, the gaming mouse offers hot-swap compatibility with mechanical switches as well as optical mechanical Omron micro switches to vary click resistance and extend mouse life.
Also included is a high-quality ROG Paracord cable, while PTFE feet speak to good gliding properties. You can also further improve the grip of the rodent thanks to non-slip ROG Grip Tape.
The Asus ROG Gladius III Wireless AimPoint is offered in a black or white (Moonlight White) color scheme. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet revealed when and at what price.
