CR-Scan Ferret Pro: 3D scanner on offer

Scanners have been common for decades. Relatively new on the market, however, are 3D scanners. They are used primarily in technical professions, but also in some creative professions: they can be used to digitize physical objects and then model them. These high-tech devices don’t have to be expensive, as Creality’s CR-Scan Ferret proves. The new device from the company, which also has many other 3D scanners such as the Lizard in its portfolio, is being offered at a steep discount at market launch.

Wireless scanning with precision

The CR-Scan Ferret offers the great advantage of being able to be operated wirelessly. All that is needed is a WiFi 6 connection. This is used to exchange all data between the devices involved. The special scanning technology is interesting in this context: thanks to the OneShot scanning option, a good result is achieved even with shaky hands, as the scanner itself ensures that the object to be scanned is scanned evenly. The scanning accuracy of the CR-Scan Ferret is up to 0.1 mm – which is also a very good value in professional contexts.

But this is not the only advantage of the CR-Scan Ferret Pro. It also offers the option of scanning black objects without having to spray them first. This should make everyday work with the 3D scanner much easier. Colored objects can also be scanned well, as the scanner has 24-bit full coulor compatibility. It has an integrated color camera for this.

Built into the scanner is an ASIC imaging chip, which provides a high computing capacity. This makes it possible to achieve high-quality results in a short time – even with medium and large objects. The scanning area measures 560 x 820 mm.

Mobile use

Another significant advantage over competing products is that the CR-Scan Ferret is mobile. This is due on the one hand to its handy size with a weight of only 105 grams. On the other hand, the device is equipped with an intelligent algorithm that ensures that the scanner adapts to the ambient conditions and can also achieve good results in sunlight.

In all this, it can be operated without any great technical knowledge. This is made possible by the simple user guidance of the device. Scans can be modeled and essential settings made with just one click. This means that even newcomers can quickly achieve the desired results. Compatibility with Windows, Android, macOS and iOS also enables low-threshold access.

Reduction for market launch

To mark the launch of this new 3D scanner, the manufacturer is offering a whopping discount. Thus, from September 19 to 29, the scanner is available for only 392 euros. From September 29, the price increases to 414 euros before reaching the regular level of 469 euros on October 9. In addition, two randomly selected buyers who purchase their scanner up to and including September 29 will receive a refund of the price. The winners will be announced in a livestream in October.
