Computex 2024 is in full swing. Of course, manufacturer Fractal Design is also on site and has four new products in tow.

These include the Fractal Design Refine, which comes in the form of a stylish and comfortable gaming chair. “The Fractal Refine was developed with a clear goal in mind – to create a comfortable, versatile seat where you can fully immerse yourself in the gaming experience, ” says the manufacturer.

The chair is available in either mesh or upholstered fabric and in five different versions. It is based on the “Scandinavian Furniture” design, which combines a discreet appearance with a homely look and a high level of comfort.

It offers a range of user-friendly adjustment options, including headrest height, seat height and depth, depth and height of the lumbar support, armrests in four directions and tilt tension.

Also new is the entry into the gaming headset segment with the Fractal Design Scape, which comes in a white and black color scheme. The Scape is said to be characterized by a detailed audio experience, clear design and a high level of comfort. A wireless charging station is included in the scope of delivery.

It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 and a USB dongle with low latency. The super wideband microphone can also be detached if required to use the Scape as headphones.

There also appears to be lighting that can be adjusted along with the audio settings using the free online tool Adjust Pro.

The Fractal Design Refine is set to launch in the third quarter with prices starting at 550 USD, while the Scape gaming headset will launch at the same time at a price of around 200 USD.

Era 2 and Mood: Two new cases from Fractal Design

The manufacturer has also unveiled two new PC cases. These include the compact Era 2, which is based on the iconic small form factor case that impressed in our 2020 test.

In Era 2, the series has been refined and improved, with the unmistakable architectural design further enhanced and the cooling improved. The Era 2 has space for water cooling on five sides, while the walnut wood lid is designed to optimize airflow.

an elegantly shaped outer case is made of anodized aluminum and can be removed in one piece for quick upgrades and customization. The Era 2 can accommodate GPUs up to 326 mm in length.

Another new feature is the Fractal Desgin Mood tower case, which comes as a 20.3 liter tower with a fabric cover. The fabric cover and mesh grille in the lid make the case look more like a large smart speaker and create a sophisticated look.

The design naturally makes for an unusual layout inside. The connections for the mainboard and GPU are directed downwards towards the floor and cables can be routed to the rear through the outlet. The graphics card can be a maximum of 320 mm long and is routed to the rear via a riser cable, where the Mood has a perforated grille to ensure cooling.

Due to the limited space available, SFX and SFX-L power supplies with a depth of up to 130 mm can be installed. The CPU cooler can be a maximum of 110 mm high. AiO water cooling systems are supported up to a size of 280 mm, whereby these can be installed in front of the mainboard towards the front.

The Fractal Design Mood will be launched in black (Mood Black) and light gray (Mood Light Gray) on June 18. The price is around 150 US dollars.
