Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 2: Compact instant printer with smart features

With the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 2, the company has introduced a new instant photo printer that provides the Snapchat generation with smart features and comes up with a new design compared to its predecessor. In just 15 seconds, pictures can be sent from the smartphone to the printer and the printing process can be started. If desired, the photos can also be provided with stickers, lettering and QR codes.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 2 in detail

Fujifilm’s first Instax Mini Link printer continues to enjoy enormous popularity, coming in at a rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars on mail-order retailer Amazon, with over 4,000 global reviews.

Now the manufacturer presents the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 2, a refurbished new edition that can do much more than just print smartphone photos. This also works in combination with the companion app, and extremely quickly at that:

In just 15 seconds, you transfer a picture from the smartphone to the printer and start the printing process, the manufacturer promises. The battery is said to be sufficient to enable around 100 Instax prints via Bluetooth with just one charge.

However, the pictures can still be extensively customized within the app. For example, it is possible to zoom into photos or rotate them before printing. Additionally, frames, texts, stickers and emojis can be added to pictures. A simple swipe up then leads from the app to printing via Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 2.

There are two modes to choose from for print quality: instax-Natural Mode is meant to render colors realistically, according to the original photograph. Instax-Rich Mode, on the other hand, enhances colors for a richer look.

Other features of the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 2

Furthermore, the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 2 is able to print photos directly from videos. If you like the printout, you can trigger a reprint of the same photo by simply flipping the instant printer over.

In combination with INTAXAiR, a total of five other creative effects can be applied to photos. Perfect for those who want to add glitter, bubbles or neon effects to their pictures.

This clearly shows that the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 2 is primarily aimed at younger generations who want to quickly and easily print their cell phone photos and add effects. After all, the printer even has a physical button that lets you paint virtual neon lines in the air and transfer them directly to your photo. This even works optionally with the smartphone.

Printed photos can even be provided with a QR code if desired, which plays a video recorded in the app after scanning. In addition, written texts, for example, can be photographed in the companion app and inserted directly into the prints.

More Information

If desired, the Instax Mini Link 2 even serves as a self-timer to snap a photo from a distance on a connected smartphone. It also connects to the manufacturer’s Fujifilm X-S10 system camera to print photos directly from the camera. All without having to transfer them to the smartphone first.
