GTA Online: Rockstar Games increases subscription costs for GTA+

Even more than ten years after its release, GTA 5 is still a real money-printing machine for Rockstar Games. The reason for this is GTA Online – the online service for the open world game. If you want to get the most out of it, get GTA+. Now the developer has significantly increased the subscription costs for the bonus program.

GTA+ is getting more expensive everywhere

The price increase does not only affect one market. In fact, Rockstar Games has raised prices worldwide. This is certainly nothing unusual in times of rising costs for online services. For example, streaming service Netflix recently increased its prices once again. However, GTA+ customers may well be annoyed by the fact that the price increase was implemented without comment.

The developer has not commented on the reasons for this. For customers in Europe and the USA, the costs will increase by 33 percent. This means that the price in this country is no longer 5.99 euros per month, but now 7.99 euros. However, the benefits have not changed. Subscribers will primarily receive premium content such as exclusive events or special items.

However, the most important reason for becoming a GTA+ member is probably the monthly GTA dollars that are available. These naturally open up significantly more possibilities in the game world of GTA Online. Similar to PS Plus or the Microsoft Game Pass, you can also access a game library from Rockstar Games. This includes old GTA spin-offs, among others.

Rockstar Games gets the most out of GTA Online
