Honor has been a strong player in the smartphone market for some time now and has introduced a whole series of new models this year, including its own top models Honor 70 Pro and Pro+. The Chinese are apparently celebrating the end of the year with a new foldable smartphone, which goes by the name Honor Magic Vs and wants to take on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4.
Honor Magic Vs shows up in leak
Not too many details about the Honor Magic Vs are currently available. However, the successor of the Magic V is supposed to be unveiled at a launch event as early as November 23, 2022. First information and render pictures have already been published in advance by Panda on the Chinese social network Weibo.
This shows that the Honor Magic Vs weighs 261 grams, for example, which is much lighter than its 288-gram predecessor. In addition, there is a 5,000 mAh battery that can apparently be charged quickly via USB-C with 66 watts.
Accordingly, the foldable smartphone is supposed to be particularly slim and thin with a robust folding mechanism. That is all the information we have.
Honor announces launch event
Honor, meanwhile, via Twitter has announced a launch event for “flagship products” on November 23. Besides the Magic Vs, we could then expect the Honor Magic 5 series, which apparently consists of the Magic5, Magic5 Pro and Magic5 Prestige Edition.
Concrete details about the new devices are also not yet available, but here, too, a leak of the data sheets on Weibo revealed some exciting details just a few days ago. According to that, the smartphones are already supposed to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and rely on fast LPDDR5X working memory as well as UFS 4.0 system memory. Thus, it remains exciting what Honor will show us in about two weeks.
