HP presents with the Mini-in-One a very special device. It is a kind of modular all-in-one PC. The large screen has a slot for USFF PCs and thus combines the advantages of an all-in-one PC with those of the classic desktop PC combination.
Anyone who relies on all-in-one PCs will usually be pleased with a space-saving setup and a tidy desk. The major disadvantage of all-in-one devices is that the computer and screen have to be replaced when one of the two components is no longer up to date. The Mini-in-One compensates for this disadvantage: It is a large screen with a slot on the back for particularly small PCs. This keeps the two components technically separate, but does not take up more space than a conventional all-in-one PC.
The inserted USFF-PC is connected to the screen via a USB-C cable. This cable also supplies the computer with power – one socket is sufficient for the entire setup.
A 23.8-inch IPS panel with Full HD resolution is used as the display. It also has an LED backlight, reaches a maximum brightness of 250 nits and a response time of 14 ms.
In addition, the screen has two microphones, a webcam with a resolution of 1,080 pixels and a USB hub with six ports. There is also an AUX connector and a DisplayPort connector.
The device will be available in the USA from August at a price of 279 US dollars. In addition to the slide-in screen, a stand and a power supply unit are included in the scope of delivery. The warranty period is three years.
