Sales hit among gaming headsets

The first HyperX Cloud II enjoyed great popularity among gamers. This could be seen not least in the impressive sales figures. The gaming headset sold almost 4 million copies. This definitely makes it one of the market leaders. The position as one of the classics among gaming headsets was not least decisive for the economic success of HyperX. The headset from Kingston’s gaming division has not earned its reputation without reason. After all, the Cloud II still stands for crystal-clear sound today.

Wireless into the next round

In 2020, you simply have to bring a wireless gaming headset onto the market. This is not least because more and more console gamers will also need appropriate headphones. Accordingly, HyperX has now launched a wireless version of its Cloud II. In addition to 7.1 surround sound, the headphones should also be able to convince with a generally very good sound. The 53 mm drivers should ensure this. In order to achieve almost loss-free transmission and a range of 20 meters, the Cloud II Wireless works with a 2.4 GHz transmission. This will particularly please competent multiplayers. The 30 hours of battery life should also be a source of pleasure, if they correspond to reality.

Robust workmanship

Like its predecessor, the Cloud II Wireless relies on high-quality and robust workmanship. For example, the wireless headphones use adjustable aluminum frames. The foam pads, which are covered with soft imitation leather, are designed to be durable and comfortable. The gaming headset is operated using buttons located on the ear cups. Here you can not only adjust the volume, but also adjust the microphone. Speaking of microphones. This can probably be removed easily. Thanks to the Noise Cancelling function, the players are not distracted by disturbing background noise.

Price and availability

Unfortunately, the wireless version of Cloud II will no longer be available this year. Initially, HyperX is releasing its headset only in the USA. There it is to be launched for an RRP of 149.99 US dollars. But even in Germany we don’t have to wait too long. The gaming headset, which is compatible with PC, PS4 and Switch, should be available in our stores in January 2021.
